Founded in 1925 in Holmdel, NJ, Dearborn Market began as Dearborn Farms a roadside farm stand that grew fresh fruits and vegetables for the community and New York City markets. With a devoted following, Dearborn expanded over the years and now includes a delicatessen, gourmet kitchen, specialty bakery, and state-of-the-art greenhouse. In 2015, Dearborn was purchased by the Saker family, a Wakefern member and NJ-based grocer with more than a century of experience in the food business. They continue to uphold Dearborn's rich legacy of providing farm-fresh fruits and vegetables, favorite family recipes, and holiday festivals that include pumpkin picking and hayrides in the fall.

They have a deli with salads, butcher meat department and fresh fish and these areas seem to attract the most customers. Delicious Orchards has more of a selection of fresh fruits and vegetables and where I shop weekly.

I like when all the same type of plants are together so I can go directly to the plants I want to buy. Vases and pots should be all together so I know which variety to choose from. The set up makes you walk around the whole store but by then I forgot what was on the other side. It was overwhelming and frustrating. I prefer greenhouses that are more organized.

Visited here while driving up to West Point. Was only planning to stop by their greenhouse (which was amazing) but ended up wondering around the store for almost an hour admiring all the fresh produce and local products they had. Definitely worth going to for food, plants, and trinkets. Plus— going here supports local businesses and families.

Love love this Dearborn Market! So many fresh items to choose from! A nice selection of baked breads, cakes, pies, desserts! I bought a few sleeves of assorted chocolate covered pretzels! Chocolate is smooth and not too sweet on the pretzels. Really good! $16.99 for 12, a good price for gourmet pretzels! I’ve purchased a few fresh meats. The pork chops were fresh and lean yet tender when cooked. I bought the boneless pork chops. I went to the deli to get sandwich cold cuts- low salt Turkey breast, good! I also purchased some mozzarella bow tie salad with the peppers combined. That was really delicious! Not too garlicky. I’ve also bought semi prepared Milanese chicken breast cutlets. So easy for dinner- just add sauce and bake, very easy to do and they were moist! I bought the prepared stuffed shells! Yum! I spent over $150. on the first trip, got home to find that I was charged for three sleeves of chocolate pretzels instead of two. I called up Dearborn Market and told them of the overcharge. The store manager was so nice and said to come back to the store and she will give me a credit. I went in the next day, bought my recipe and got a credit for the overcharge. Thank you Dearborn Market! And~ of course I bought more delicious food! The semi prepared foods in the refrigerator sections are great for quick dinners. It’s not expensive because there’s no waste. I my family there are three of us, if we’d like quick dinners during the week, this is the place that has everything! You save a lot because there’s no waste! Thank you!

The prepared foods are great and they have Vermont Nut Free chocolate, which is very hard to find locally. Great spot.

Love this store, esp. the floral/garden section. The greenhouse area is inspirational and peaceful with the most beautiful displays! Whoever creates these garden areas is an artist! During the pandemic the greenhouse room has served as an oasis of refreshment. Thank you to all the staff!

Too bad the store wasn't a little bigger because the aisles are narrow. The homemade meals to go tap into everyone's taste buds from pizza, pasta, fresh fish and comfort foods. The deli, fish and meat departments were well packed with great selections. Dont forget to pick up some plants that greet you at the entrance. It was worth the drive from North Jersey and I will return.
