Definitely not the best place to have a quality dinner. Obviously if you sit inside it's loud you can't change that about a bar. However you can make up for it in other ways let me start by saying the wait staff and bar tender where extremely nice but the problem lies with the food the lobster tail is a child's size portion and the stake was cooked to the point of no return the baked potato was under cooked and hard inside the coconut shrimp was tasty and prepared well and the chicken tenders and French fries for the kids where good. Overall it's extremely overpriced for what you get and it's not a relaxing environment inside unless your drinking.

Good food with some interesting service. Seemed overrun while some of the workers stood around doing nothing while others worked hard delivering food and cleaned tables. Food is good but way overpriced for what you’re getting . Be careful because some of the appetizers have more food then main meals.

Outstanding meal. I had the mussels white which were nice size and plentiful with a tasty sauce and crisp garlic bread. For my meal I had the seafood chowder in a Fra Diablo sauce. Plentiful and delicious. Service was friendly and attentive. Will be back.

I’ve been to Shuckers 3 times. Each time it was really good. We usually get the raw oysters, snow crab legs, and other items. Please note - Dining outdoors is a much better experience than dining indoors. Indoors it is a loud bar environment. And today we unfortunately had a booth towards the back. I watched the owner/boss (?) who was sitting at the end of the bar scold at least 4 employees loudly. I guess it had to be loud because it was very noisy inside. I understand needing to keep things running a certain way, but isn’t there a back room to correct/scold employees instead of in front of customers? Anyway, we love the food and service is good, but we will ask to be seated outside for every future visit.

Reservations didn't mean anything as we waiting 2 hours to be seated. Staff was overworked and rude. After all that, our hot dishes were warm at best. I so looked forward to this place, was disappointed. We won't be back.

Went here for my friend’s bday dinner. Got the coconut shrimp and old bay fries to share, and around the table we had a burger, fish and chips, scallops, alaskan king crab, and fish tacos. Overall everyone at the table enjoyed their food and drinks, and the portions were good as well. What really set this place apart was our server. She was super nice, and was genuinely excited to help out with the typical birthday cake and singing request. She did a great job handling a tree nut allergy for the cake, and made sure to get our friend’s name for “Happy Birthday” too. Good food and great service. 10/10.

Probably one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a restaurant. For a party of 6 we waited over an hour, which we understand that it is Memorial Day, but multiple parties were sat in front of us and when we asked how much longer the wait would be, we were completely ignored. None of our food came out at the same time, one of our appetizers didn’t even come until after our meals. We got two orders of lemon shrimp, and one didn’t come with bread and one did?? One of our meals came out way after everyone else’s, and it was wrong. Two people in our party ordered crab legs with old bay, but they were plain when they got to the table. Fish tacos were completely flavorless. Our table was very obviously not a priority to the staff, the food is subpar, and extremely overpriced. Would not recommend if it was the last place open in New Jersey.

Down the shore for a winter weekend with another couple. Stopped around the corner at Shuckers for dinner. Our bartender Zack was awesome. Great service and great drinks. So good we came back the next night for after dinner drinks. Once again Zack was terrific. Make sure to stop in to see him and try the coconut margarita!

Where do I start? Just fabulous!!! Food was fantastic, fresh and OMG so good. You have to get the oysters when you go there, it will recharge your equilibrium. Great staff, shout out to Brad our waiter, absolutely a delight to deal with. The ladies at the door was so hospitable, the barman was fantastic. Overall a great restaurant experience. I strongly recommend Shuckers if you are visiting Margate NJ.

Food and service was great. Staff was clean and very friendly. If you like seafood they have a lot of good option here.
