It needs more ways for the patrons to clean the equipment as its being used. Ive been to more than a half dozen other gyms in the buffalo area, and all of them had more access to clean the equipment before/after each use. This is true for both Pre and Post pandemic. Even the other Catalyst gyms I've been to had more than this facility, and this is the largest one. All the other facilities had 1/3rd the space and equipment, and probably 3 times as many places to get sanitation wipes/spray/towels. I don't want to have to worry about getting or giving a staph/impetigo/worts/fungal infection just because there's not towels and sanitation spray available. I also don't want to fear losing the machine or piece of equipment i'm on because I have to walk halfway across the gym to spend extra time to get a paper towel and spray. Those are just the health/convenience concerns, let alone if someone has protein farts or is sweating out a mess of food they recently ate and i'm the next one to use the machine they were on. It's disgusting. This gym is nice, it has a lot of great equipment and training options, as well as services, but without more means to clean it, I'd rather go anywhere else, theres really no reason for it.

Visited the Gym today to get a membership and I was denied one saying that the Manager isn't available. When asked if I could workout for just a day without membership, the front desk was like pay $20 for the day. Outrageous considering they were not able to give membership and asking me to pay $20 for the day.

Lots of equipment to use so you usually don't have to wait too long for any machine or rack. It's clean and well maintained too. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Best gym by far in the Buffalo area in my opinion. All of their locations are well kept and their bigger locations have many amenities like hydrotherapy and personal training. It is also beginner friendly as everyone there is super friendly, totally worth the memebership price

Overpriced. Pseudo. Judging environment. Not very amazing but the facilities are good. The price is insane. Will never spend this much when right next is planet fitness offering so much in literally 1% of the cost.

This is a great and huge gym with lots of offerings for all fitness levels. My only complaint is I run into empty hand sanitizer, overflowing trashcans and no paper towel quite often.

I came in a year ago to cancel my membership due to moving out of state. I was told by an "manager" it was canceled when in fact they just put it on a pause. After the 2mo I was still getting charged and was told everytime I called it was canceled and to just stop by a location. After speaking to several useless people I was informed that They could only give me $30 refund.

The Front desk worker's weren't very inviting at all. I asked for a walk around, you know to get some sort of idea as to what I'd be getting myself into. That was totally disregard, I was then told I wouldn't be able to work out "right now or today" I can't remember exactly how it was worded. Phil then jumped right into stating it's $20 to workout for the day, ok? So things just werent adding up. To try to catch a sale I was Informed that I'd be able to trade off or basically sell my contact information in exchange for a day pass for the following day. I was also asked "is this even a real email"? Like, whaaaat? I'm sure there have been people that have tried to or successfully abused day passes in the past, so I get it. But these approaches are sure to scare off tons of potential consumers. If the initial experience had went differently I wouldn't have minded forking over the ~ $400 for at least a years membership upfront to boot. We're talking $40 a month for "top tier" not including annual fees. Side line workers have atrocious sales tactics. I Felt completely un-welcomed like as if I was a burden for trying to come and join this gym. The entire interaction just gave off bad vibes and was extremely awkward. Prices are high compared to the competition, worker's desperately need training.

Visited Catalyst fitness for the first time. I joined my friends as we worked out on all the latest equipment and then took a Zumba class with Jen. I enjoyed the layout of the machines, very nicely lit locker room, unfortunately, the lockers had a lot of dirty slush inside from ppls shoes given the weather. I was required to show vaccination proof, which is becoming the norm so I didn’t mind. I believe the cost of the memberships is a little higher than other gyms however, you will get the newness and not much more. There is no pool and you would have to choose a more expensive contract to have access to multiple gyms and classes. Overall, it’s a nice gym with a good equipment, be mindful of the costs and commitment you’re getting into. A free week pass might entice clients to want to join instead of a one day pass which is nothing.
