Had my hair and makeup done here for my bridal shower and they absolutely killed it! I sweat so much and my makeup didn't budge!! And the hair was exactly what I was envisioning and they were so gentle I barely felt any pulling or bobbypinning and they have such a cute salon! I scheduled an appointment online on 5/18 for an event on 6/17. On 6/10, I received a text that my appointment was canceled. When I called, I was told that they have the option to accept or deny an appointment and that they had booked someone else’s appointment for that slot. Why would it take any business 3 weeks to confirm an appointment? Clearly it is not first come, first serve. I was not offered another available appointment. I was not offered a discount for a future visit, though I have no intention of returning anyway. So UNPROFESSIONAL. With the increasing costs of gas and groceries, I’m not sure how a business of “blow outs” and “‘makeup” can be successful with such inadequate customer service. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.

I visited Blow-Chic for the first time on Monday and had such a wonderful experience. This blowout bar is owned by great people with a talented, sweet staff of stylists. I booked with Becca, who gave me a great blowout for headshots I had that day. Not only was her work high quality, but she made the appointment very comfortable — she was super personable and so fun to chat with during. I’ll be back for future events/photoshoots and can’t wait. The girls in here are so nice, I could tell they were very busy for a prom but they made sure that I got out on time. I got my hair done for a wedding, on a super hot day for May and it held up perfectly. Also very cute decor!

Today I had my first blowout here! Everyone was really nice and it was clear that everyone working had ample experience. I have thick and long hair and it’s hard to manage at all, I’ve never been so happy with how my hair looks. I will definitely be back I also wanted to add: I’ve been to many blowout bars. All over LI and in the city, Drybar included, Blow-Chic is hands down my favorite down to the service and how my hair came out!
