Key Food Supermarket sells "Hearth Bake Bastone Bread" with "No Expiration Date". For that reason they let their breads turn GREEN inside, that's how they make Penicillin to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections.

Being a Chef I'm happy that this supermarket is in the neighborhood. The staff is friendly but the manager is the best. Always looking out and very attentive. Mot of the things I need can be found at this location.

It's sad to walk in to a nice supermarket for the community and the girl that holds your personal cart and gives you a number has a face and attitude. Didn't even respond when I said hello and basically shoved my cart to where it fell. She shouldn't come to work. Then walking by the dairy section one of the Spanish staff ladies with a white coat on yelling at the top of her lungs to one of the male staff and laughing. Like right in my face as I walked by. It's not the first time. Very unprofessional. Seems like they just hire anybody. Smile, say hello, take care of the customers nicely, and talk to your coworkers privately face to face. The cashier was ok, no problems. Supermarket needs a meeting on etiquette..

Cleanliness maintained throughout store, well stocked, high-quality products, well organized and helpful staff (especially, at deli section) and large selection of fruit...

Very nice supermarket, variety selection, decent prices and sales but you can find better. The checkout staff however awful. But in their defense all cashiers here are clearly minors and high school attendees. They are rude, gossip while checking you out, on their phone, talking to each other about unprofessional topics and straight up lazy. They will not assist you with bagging groceries and forget about going there before they have to close

Shopped at this store for ten years. Consistently, the staff in the evening and afternoons to be incredibly unprofessional, but the morning staff are friendly. When Covid started, I did feel for the staff. There were no screens to protect them from the customers (and vice versa) while even the local vegetable stores had protections in place. I complained to the management about it, but they didn't seem to care or show any concern, even when I saw them in the store, talking about changes and renovations. It's also the only place for MILES that used to sell kosher chicken, but now they sell this watery "organic" chicken that has no flavor. Sadly, it's one of the few stores in the Bronx that has a greater organic section compared to most others, but still pricier than Trader Joe's which is way too far. Good sales, but don't shop here for vegetables and fruit. Go to the local market down the block. Selection/4 Price/3 Service/1

A supermarket in the midst of Pelham Parkway, where you can get your groceries...meat variety, ground produce and some household items.

Closest supermarket to me. It has the freshest deli department with large variety of cold cuts and hot dishes. The prices are a bit higher then I want them to be but thats life and they are getting better with variety and more healthier options. Not as good as whole foods, not enough fish or seafood variety whatsoever, standard on everything else. The bakery section sucks. Not enough variety plus overpriced plus not fresh enough.
