Very rude service by one employee on a Saturday, who might reconsider working in public service. She walked out of the back room to the front service area, stood to the left of the window, looked at her cell phone for 1-2 minutes while I stood at the window thinking she must be off work because she neither made eye contact or asked if I needed assistance. Finally I asked if she was available to which she replied, “I’m waiting for you.” Then she informed me the svce I was asking about cost 26.95. When I told her I paid 16.00 for it one month prior, she said I was wrong, that may have been the price years ago. Then she kept telling me to complete my package away from the window so she could assist the next customer, which only extended and escalated the situation. Then she refused to take my package. Proof below what I paid for overnight delivery to NYC. Will be contacting East Quogue Post Master tomorrow.

I wrote the review below about a year ago and wanted to update it based on some changes that were made. The person that we had so many problems with is no longer there. What a difference! Strange how one person can have such a negative impact. It is once again, a great small town post office. The men and women who work there have done a wonderful job working through all of the obstacles brought on by COVID and the USPS bureaucracy. I use this post office a lot and have always received good service. That has changed in the last 6 months or so ago and I no longer like going to the counter. There is a young woman working there now, perhaps mid twenties or so, who is one of the rudest people I have ever encountered in my happy little town. She treats both customers and her coworkers with disdain which has not gone unnoticed by the community at large.I do plan to be using UPS going forward. I have been meaning to write this review for months.Luckily I now have the time, many don't. Will be contacting the postmaster next.

Went in.. young girl, so rude.. attitude.. I said hello… no response.. said goodbye… no response.. I never write a bad review, but this person deserved one… never go there again!! The absolute rudest person!!!

Passport service is not good I normally work saturdays. I had an appointment last Saturday and they canceled it. I had a appointment on this Saturday they canceled it again. So I lost 2 Saturday’s work on this pandemic. The reason was lady who does the passport service is not working Saturdays they said. Last week reason was she was sick. So I rather not go east quogue post office for passport service

My packages have been delivered damaged or opened ever since I complained about late delivery. I was also locked in the post office with the lights off while the girl behind the counter counted out her draw. There were never any problems with the previous group of workers. They have very poor customer service. I wanted to support our post office by using their services. I am now going to start using UPS for my packages. They need to hire more professional worker. Customer service is key.

Staff can be quite nasty and return packages and mail to sender if there is one little thing wrong with the address, even though the information is there. Sometimes I swear they are just being vindictive.
