I was watching a YouTube video by a girl named Judy D who got her makeup done at the Gucci counter in Bloomingdale's, Dubai Mall, UAE. From the video alone I was left very impressed by the beautiful makeup and super gorgeous packaging that I decided to stop by my local Bloomingdales which happens to be in Roosevelt Field Mall, Garden City, New York. I was in awe by the fairy tale, ethereal beauty of the Gucci counter and dying to try on the makeup for myself when lo and behold a beautiful young and very sweet girl by the name of Anessa appeared and told me to just wait because her mother was the makeup artist for Gucci. I was excited and waited and when she came by I was shocked that she was the mother because they look like sisters. The beautiful mother named Hilda, (Gucci makeup artist) was so kind enough to show me her products as well as the ones I was interested in. I am going on vacation to the Mediterranean and she recommended me very nice vacation looks and gave me a whole entire makeover just like that without expecting me to by anything!! I was so floored and impressed by her hospitality and generosity that I happily purchased the makeup I fell in love with and was extremely satisfied with the extremely high quality products when I got home. They honestly made my day a happier day because I felt elevated and uplifted by these two wonderful employees.. I couldn't be more grateful.. Bloomingdales should be proud to have Hilda and her daughter Anessa as employees who go the extra mile for their customers. They made me feel like family- right at home and most important, they are genuine and I felt no pressure to buy. Hildas magical hand alone did all the work. After all, what is the point of color makeup if you dont have an excellent and amazing artist? Her work is sublime and really beautiful and detailed. She really paid attention to what I wanted and took alot of care and time in enhancing my features. I fell in love with the entire makeover, there was nothing I didn't like.. if you want to look beautiful please look for Hilda or her daughter Anessa or the other wonderful Gucci fragrance employee with the blonde hair whose name I do not know (forgive me). They will guide you well and even recommend products from other lines they feel meet your needs and are superior. Bloomingdale's needs to appreciate and recognize them and needs more exemplary and good natured people like Hilda who will reel in customers simply because of her great talent and hospitality. Thank you Bloomingdale's for this wonderful experience. I can't wait to go to the Gucci makeup counter again!

I love the Roosevelt Field Mall location. This location is more down to earth than the Lexington avenue version of the chain. The employees here are super nice and laid back. I would much rather shop here that the at the hoity-toity cousin sister on Lexington where if you don't dress the part you get looked down on by employees who need your purchase money to even keep their jobs.

This review is for Drew in luggage. I wanted to buy a few pieces of luggage. I wasn’t sure what I wanted or what company to go with. Drew spent about an hour with me explaining everything. I told him I would go to Macy’s to see what they had also. I walked into the Macy’s luggage department and left in 5 minutes because there was no one competent to help me or explain anything to me. It was a total turn off. Nothing was organized and no one person designated to that department. I had to hunt for someone and then just left. I then returned to BLOOMINGDALE’S the following day and went back to Drew. Wow! The difference is night and day! He again took his time answering all my questions (and believe me I had tons). He opened the suitcases I had questions on. Showed me the pros and cons. I wound up buying three suitcases. This has been a great experience. I really cannot remember when I had such great service in a department store. He is the epitome of a great sales person. He is one of those rare human beings that is totally nice. Drew even took the three suitcases out to my car. I would definitely recommend anyone who wants to buy luggage and wants a pro to help them to go to Drew. He’ll treat you like a million bucks and not like he’s doing you a favor (like a lot of sales people do). Thank you Drew! You are amazing. I may return to buy two more pieces. You are such an asset to the store and what BLOOMINGDALE’S represents. I will recommend you to anyone looking to buy luggage and wants that personal experience! P.S. Even if Macy’s had the same pieces cheaper, I would still buy them from you. 😊

The brother in Ralph Lauren saw I was on the line waiting for him, but still attended to the guys he asked behind me if they were ready as they walk towards the cashier desk i was already waiting at..even the couples were like, "he's here first." He just attended to them without any apology to me. He's a nice guy in the past but he probably needs more training and should treat people equally.

Went into the shoe department and was assisted by Shayla, a sales professional, and her service was amazing. I had an issue with a “happy return” merchandise credit card and it was anything but that. She assisted by calling customer service on my behalf. And when they didn’t provide the answers that were helpful for both the store employee and customer, Nicole from the Golden Goose department stepped in and assisted. They both worked together to come to a solution for me, and I truly appreciated it. Amazing job to you both. Pleasant employees are hard to come by in retail these days so this was a treat.

Always a great shopping experience. Went searching for a winter jacket. I Have to be prepared for when the real winter- 20 degrees and lower gets here. I found the perfect jacket however my size wasn't available in store.. so I had to order in store for delivery. A friendly and courteous store Associate helped me with my selection and order for shipment. Also got my son Polo and North Face jackets on sale.

Extremely quiet and you can’t find someone to assist you if needed. But other than that the store is really clean and well organized. I love the staircase so much that I had to take pictures. The people working there are very friendly.
