I found the sales woman who helped me pick out glasses here to be incredibly pushy; she would blatantly disregard the budget I was giving her and hand me glasses that were $100-$200 over what I wanted to spend. The desk staff always seemed to charge extra for exams, like literally double what i used to pay when I lived in Brooklyn, as well. I've since found a new eye doctor in Queens and it made me realize i was putting up with unnecessary upcharging from Sunnysight Optik for way too long. My new doctor doesn't charge me for two separate exams when i go in to order the same exact contacts that I ordered the prior year - a common occurrence at Sunnysight Optik. If you don't mind paying double and live in Sunnyside then the convenience of this place cant be beaten, but otherwise, please note there are other better options out there, and within a couple stops on the 7 train.

Everyone is always so kind, helpful, and informative, without ever rushing or pressuring to buy. The doctors are efficient without rushing as well, so an eye exam is thorough without taking up a huge chunk of your day. I’ve been wearing glasses from Sunnysight for at least three years now and they are the best quality glasses I’ve had in my life—and I’ve worn glasses since I was 10! I’d also like to express my appreciation for the staff’s immediate use of my spouse’s name, which is different from their legal name—one of the reception team even made sure to let the doctor know about their name, without either of us asking. (I forgot to note it when making the appointment!) That was so appreciated and I can’t thank the team enough for such a positive, warm experience.

I’ve been going to Sunnysight Optik for 7 years. They are friendly, supportive, and welcoming. It feels like a small community shop because the owners and staff remember me year after year. Their customer service and support are beyond what I would expect from a business in todays world. I got an exam done recently and a retinal scan and the doctor was able to catch a small discrepancy that led to me going to see an eye specialist. She was informed, explained everything, and helped with understanding next steps. The neuro-ophthalmologist even said that the optometrist caught something most people wouldn’t notice. Dr To caught it early enough that I can get treatment for it. As for their products, they always have a wide range of frame options (many in my insurance coverage range!) and will help you make the best decision, regardless of the cost in the end. They break down every expense so you understand where the coverage is. Anytime I’ve had an issue, they were quick to address it and happy to help in any way. I cannot recommend them enough, they are fantastic!

I love this place. I have been going there for couple of years. The service is great and all the staff is super friendly. They have a cool selection of frames, both for regular glasses and sunglasses. I used to live in this neighborhood but i now live in NJ and i still use their service!

Great eye doctor. The staff was nice and didn’t rush me to pick out glasses. Stephanie at the desk was very informative and helped me pick out something that I love along with breaking down what my insurance covered.

Charged my health insurance and separate vision back in December. I called multiple times and they said they’d fix it, but still haven’t (10 months after the appointment). Still won’t fix it, one year later! Also, went to a different eye doctor, who noticed the prescription they gave me, checked it several times and confirmed I do NOT have an astigmatism as sunnyside Optik said, nor are my eyes different prescriptions. The one I went to checked it several times to be sure, and asked to see the prescription to ensure there wasn’t a mistake in my glasses and confirmed, I was given a FAULTY prescription by sunnyside optik which is damaging to the eyes. Very upset and regretful about having gone here

Sunnysight Optik is definitely a great store! I went to get a new pair of glasses in early Nov. The experience was great. It was a very short wait followed by a comprehensive eye exam and a pleasant process to pick my new glasses. Everyone there was so nice and helpful. I ended up getting the glasses from Gigi Studio, a popular Spanish brand on Instagram. After the visit, I noticed some minor issue caused by the lab’s mistake. And Diana was so responsive and helped me resolve the issue within a day. The service and everything is perfect! I would definitely recommend Sunnysight Optik to everyone in NYC.

Diana and the staff are truly one of a kind. Everyone at Sunnysight Optik are kind, caring and willing to help. I have been going for years now and don't plan to leave until I move. Even then, if I stay in New York, I am going to keep going. They have an amazing selection of glasses that you can choose from, take a variety of insurance plans and have doctors that really care. They make sure you are not "just a number" and ensure that care is provided (not just a script with glasses). Overall, I highly suggest going to Sunnysight Optik for any vision needs. You will not be disappointed with any of the service. As long as they keep hiring the amazing staff they have, everyone will walk out with a smile on there face.

Overall a good experience at Sunnysight! Everything was clean and organized. Katherine was patient in letting me try on so many frames. Frames were cleaned with UV light before returning to display cabinets. On the day of pick-up, Brian was friendly, and adamant on getting the glasses to fit my face perfectly, which I greatly appreciate! I docked 1 star because the wait was longer than expected - I ordered my glasses on 1/29, pick up was on 2/18. Would be great if Sunnysight would be proactive in informing customer of any delays (i.e. snow days and other unexpected reasons). In any case, a great local business. Thank you Sunnysight!

I have worn glasses my whole life and sunnysight optik is the best eye doctor/office I have ever been too! They are super helpful, knowledgable, and have some of the best frames I've seen. I highly recommend this office/business to all my family and friends.
