The pharmacist is great! After an accident with a circular saw while working on my beach house, the pharmacist took time to take a look and confirm urgent care was not necessary. He also gave me a tetanus booster at a reasonable cost. Will absolutely go back if we need any prescriptions filled. The store was well stocked with first aid products as well.

Very friendly staff, and very helpful. My fiancé needed a prescription while on vacation, but that medicine ended up being out of stock anywhere within 100 miles. They called the emerge doctor line of our doctors back at home and got us a new prescription as soon as they could, and we’re incredibly nice about it, considering this was after closing time on a Friday. Thank you for getting him what he needed!

Been coming here monthly for about a year.. I’m writing a review for the first time now because the New Owner— Matt— is really that Nice of a guy: He not only answered my call at 1:45pm after closing early at 12pm and sending all staff home due to inclimate weather, but proceeded to immediately process a refill that I didn’t call ahead about (supposed to give 24 hour notice for refills) and then let me in to pick up/pay for said prescription. As the owner let me out, an older man was trying the door not noticing the sign saying closed.. Without missing a beat he lets the man right in asking if he needed to pick up his prescription. so I knew I had to write a review on the shift in “vibe” of this Pharmacy over the last month or so since the change in ownership.The staff has always been nice enough but now they seem more relaxed and happier, less stressed and it’s easier/smoother than ever to pick up my prescriptions. Really friendly staff. The Pharmacists were very knowledgeable about my medicine. Pleasant quiet atmosphere. If you need craft supplies, a unique gift, a greeting card, penny candies, or just some vitamins. Pick up your prescription while you look around.

Quick and efficient service from this pharmacy. We have a part time home in Avon but have not needed the pharmacy before. My Dr. called in the prescription last night after they were closed. I showed up this morning when they opened at 9:00AM. A little bit of paper work and wait 30 mins (didn’t expect that it would be filled before my arrival). I left and returned 30 minutes later and all was well. Kind and friendly employees.

I needed a prescription that was at my local pharmacy when we were vacationing in Avon. I called Beach Pharmacy in Avon to transfer the prescription and was told it would take 48 hours to transfer the prescription. I told the woman I needed it as soon as possible and she told me to try another pharmacy. It was their policy that transfers take 48 hours because they have other high priority prescriptions and only one pharmacist. I called Beach Pharmacy in Hatteras and the woman I spoke to was extremely nice and helpful. She had the prescription ready in one hour, also with only one pharmacist. I would not waste your time with the pharmacy in Avon- terrible patient care! Worth the drive to Hatteras.

In Avon for vacation and left my meds at home. Evidently I’m not the first! Recognized my plight so visited this pharmacy first thing Monday morning and asked them for their advice. Great group! They advised me to contact my doctor to send a request and gave me a preprinted contact info sheet that I could use to provide the information to my doctor. 10 minute call to my doctor and my prescriptions were ready by mid afternoon. @ pickup they asked if I had any questions - not for me, but asked them a question about swimmers ear stuff and would it be okay to use on a dog. Pharmacist came out and over great advice. Nice touch. Back to my vacation without a hitch.

I felt the need to write a review because my experience was nothing like what people had posted about here. Beach Pharmacy staff were super helpful and friendly when my two daughters got sick on our vacation. They let me text a picture of my insurance information and had everything ready when I arrived except one medicine that was out of stock until the next day. The next day It was also ready to pick up conveniently as well. All staff were friendly and I would definitely return for any other medication needs while on vacation again. :).

On day 2 of my vacation I realized I did not have a prescription that I needed to take daily. I was hesitant to call based on the reviews, but couldn't go without the med for a week due the nature of it and it was the only choice to get meds. My Doctor's office was dragging their feet on calling the Rx in, and I had to communicate with Beach Pharmacy numerous times to get my insurance info to them as well as check on the prescription. They were very patient with me and very helpful, letting me explore every avenue we could think of to get this filled. I finally was able to get enough to make it through the week so my whole vacation wasn't ruined. I appreciate their staff working with me on this!

Horrible. We are on vacation and have been coming for the last 20yrs. My child needed a prescription (due to poison ivy). I have never come across such rude people!!! Lady threw my prescription at me! I have used the pharmacy in Hatteras and they have always been amazing!!! Should be ashamed of the way they treat people!!!! I hated to walk in and I trust the cashiers sample break!!! The board of pharmacy should be aware of the way they are treating people!!!
