Showed up for an 11 o’clock appointment to get an oil change and was told it would be an hour and a half before they were even able to get us back. Maybe not a big deal for some people but for me having two young children there’s a reason I made an appointment time and I understand being a little behind but an hour and a half isn’t a small wait. if you can’t honor appointment times don’t offer them or if you get that backed up at least call to notify people of waits or cancel/ change their appointments.

I recently purchased tires and found myself coming back again a few months later because I ran over a bolt. While I was waiting for them to repair my tire, Stevie helped me with answering questions about the other services they offer. Stevie is amazing! She was very knowledgeable, polite, funny, and helped me with every question I had asked her. And if she didn't know the answer, she found out for me. She even explained some options they offer that might best suit my needs. I will be going back for the other services! Great customer service!

My car is so old that when a part fails, an exact match sometimes can no longer be found. This shop has skilled mechanics like Jimmy Pierce, who was willing and able to find and customize the best-available version of the part. That level of service is exceptional for the industry, but the rule for Mr. Pierce! Highly recommended.

I am not giving them one star because the first time I went here, it was fine. But last time, I had an appointment for an oil change, which I was on time for, but they seemed busy, so I asked how long it would be. I was told I had one car in front of me. I said that's fine, and went to lunch. Two and a half hours later I walked back to the shop and my car still hadn't been seen. So I asked how long it would be was told that there was one car ahead off me. Again. I asked how much time it would take and the person at the desk said 45 minutes. I grabbed my keys and left. Had I been told there was over 3 hour wait, I would have rescheduled. Now I will go somewhere else.

I went first thing on Saturday morning to get an oil change and tire rotation.I was helped out by a man named Demarqus who was super friendly and provided great customer service. Jimmy was the technician that worked on my car and he was very professional and gave great service on a timely manner. I’ve taken my vehicles to this Pepboys in the past and have always received 5 star service and will continue to bring all my vehicles here. Keep up the great work!

My car broke down late on a Saturday, and I was 5+ hours from home. I was told they were booked solid on Sunday and would do their best to squeeze me in, but they couldn’t promise me. I understood, and appreciated the honesty. My car was done by 2 pm! I am so grateful for their commitment to their customers and their great work. Thanks to the Pep Boys in Clayton!!

I was coming in for my appointment and there is a narrow road leading to the parking lot with cars parked on the right. I was driving in and an employee named Alvin came flying around the corner in a customer’s Honda Accent. I moved over as far as I could to accommodate him. It felt like he was trying to play chicken with me. Instead of driving on, he stops, glares at me, then starts to yell at me. I continued on to check in for my appointment. Naturally he comes in and I felt I needed to say something. I asked what he was trying to say to me. He claimed I was in the middle of the road and condescendingly explained how traffic works. I acknowledged that I moved over for him but he was also in the middle of the road. He starts saying he would have had to drive onto the sidewalk. All I wanted was to come to a friendly understanding because I was quite shaken up by his angry glare. Instead, he continued to argue and condescend. I told the other gentleman I would like my paperwork back so I can get my service done elsewhere. As I left, I heard Alvin continue to angrily tell his coworkers about how he was not in the wrong for his actions. I’d never want someone driving my car the way he drove that customer’s and a little kindness in customer service goes a long way. He has officially guaranteed my household will never do business with this facility moving forward. I would also like to note that I left this review on the company website and it was taken down right away. I think people should be aware of the rude employees that bully and gaslight their customers.

I went there today for the first time. It was bad. I was told that I had one oil change ahead of me and my car should be pulled in in 30 minutes, it took an hour and a half before my car was touched. Then blamed my two hour wait on my oil plug but it got there fast. The worst part about the entire thing was the condition of my car when I opened my door. There were greasy black hand prints on everything!!! My just cleaned windows had fingerprints, my seat, door, steering wheel, gear shifter and floor mat all had black greasy finger prints on them!!!! No paper mat was placed in my floor board but for some reason a sheet of plastic was on my seat? That didn't even do anything!! It is rude as hell to give a customer their car back in that condition! I just cleaned my car two days ago but I still don't want grease in my car!! I have pics if anyone wants to see them btw.

They were awesome. Ceasar was very courteous and kind. They communicated with me every step of the way. I appreciate that. It was only him and one technician, they both did a great job. He was honest with me about the condition of my car and gave me a great recommendation and also told me what to ask for in the future. Fantastic Service! Our car blew a tire in Four Oaks N.C. 4 hours from home. I called Pep Boys they got my car towed to Clayton N.C. and kept the store opened for us. The inspected our tires and discovered that both rear tires needed replacing. Everyone in the store was friendly and helpful. I appreciate everything they did for us.
