I’ve been here twice for estimates/repairs after collisions and have been very appreciative of the service both times. As a young woman, sometimes with car-related issues I feel I’ve been taken advantage of/talked down to, but the staff here as always been easy to communicate with and really nice! I was also really impressed with how my car looked after taking some serious damage. Jamie was the person of contact this time around and was super helpful!

I worked with Jamie Tyler twice in the past year for repairs on my old minivan (ah, the joys of adding a teen driver to your insurance). In both situations Jamie was fast, friendly, and explained exactly what would need to happen with my vehicle. His company works hand in glove with the insurance to get everything sorted out with a minimum of fuss. Highly recommended!

I had a horrible experience my first repair with Gerber. I was willing to give them a second try a year later as the Service Manager had changed and I was assured the previous problems would not happen again. Unfortunately my horrible experience repeated again. The Service Manager, Jamie, is perfectly polite but doesn't have the staff or the resources to do the job correctly. My service was scheduled to take five business days. It was thirteen business days after I dropped off my car before I even heard from Gerber. Read that again - the first point of contact was a week and a half after it was supposed to be picked up. All calls are routed to a national number -- which then I was put in a voicemail - and my call was never returned. Upon picking up my car there was an obvious paint run and paint bubbles. It had not been checked for suspension/alignment/any mechanical concerns as I had specifically discussed concerns about at the time the estimate was done. I was told it was common practice for Gerber to send the cars to the mechanics shop next door. Importantly, at the time of pickup, the car wouldn't start. I had to get back in my rental car and wait for them to fix the car they hadn't fixed. The next day I was told to pick up my car. It still has the paint run but at this time I'm so tired of dealing with Gerber that I'm giving up. I got the car home - and the keyless entry doesn't work on the door on which Gerber repaired. It works on the other door. I had to take the car back in AGAIN because they hadn't properly done or checked their work. The service manager was apologetic but the verbal apologies are worthless. I just needed them to do their job. I can't recommend Gerber and will not return. The service manager is trying his best but the company doesn't have staffing or practices in place that allow Gerber to be successful. They overpromise and aren't performing quality work, likely due to short staffing and high demand. Services: Body & Trim, Painting

Went to get front fender replaced. After 4 weeks and some days with issues on their end with getting lights out. I got it back. My entire car had been ransacked. My headlights had been replaced from LED to standard headlights. Things that were in places were on the floor.Things that were in places were on the floor. Things that were in the trunk was in the body of the car.. I even found a little baggy with some seeds! I meant to report to the BBB but haven't done yet. I'm just grateful there wasn't any of the extra "damages" to the car mechanics come up with. Service: Body & Trim

I had some scratches on my front hood and one of my rear side door. Someone recommend me to call Gerber Collision & Glass at the Durham location for their advice. I spoke to Richard and drove to the store to have him check on the nature of the scratches. The front desk lady was very friendly and immediately got Richard to meet me. After examining the scratches, Richard applied some rubbing compound and fixed the problem—free of charge! I did not expect this at all and was prepared to walk away if the cost was too high. My car looks great now. I really appreciate the help and would recommend Gerber Collision & Glass at Durham based on my experience with them. Service: Painting

I made an appointment to get a part installed with Gerber. They had given me a quote and after I arrived they took my car and fixed my problem immediately. They also had the courtesy to show me the problem they fixed and ifi was satisfied with it. They we’re very professional. I would definitely recommend them and go back to them for further issues with my vehicle.

DO NOT USE THIS SHOP!! Poor Communication * I was quoted a 5 day job i was not notified until half thru a simple job would take an extra day delay * once the day came to pick up vehicle i received to further updates * After calling twice once at 8 Am and 2nd 10AM i was finally told the shop had re-damaged the vehicle and was never notified when it would be completed * i called the following day and still no one was able to give me determination on completion Needless to say its has been pits poor experience and i would Recommend future customers find a better gerber or better organization all together I would no Recommend this place

Richard the parts manager is amazing - I took my car to this location and they were VERY busy. Instead of shooing me away or making me schedule an appointment (which they would have had every right to do) he stopped what he was doing and spent about 25 minutes with me. We were able to fix my car and I did not have to purchase a new hood (about $500-$600 without labor). Most repair shops would take advantage of every opportunity to extract money out of you. Rich helped me when he had (probably a million) other things to do and didn't ask for anything in return. I hope this finds its way over to you Rich - you did a heck of a job for me today and you saved me a lot of time, frustration, and money. Thank you. Next time I need work done to my car, this is exactly where it will go.
