This store is beautiful and store associates are very helpful, and absolute KUDOS to REI for putting their returns out for sale at a discount, instead of putting the returns in a dumpster like everyone else! They have everything an outdoorsy person could possibly need!

I have been a REI member and have the REI credit card. I live in Columbia SC and actually go to the Charlotte location (1 1/2 hours away) over the Columbia location 20 minutes away. We usually have a great experience but today was sub-par sadly. We went to look at Shoes for my husband. It took a while to be helped but they were kinda busy. We go to REI bc they have knowledgeable people today we were proved WRONG. The girl in the shoe department told us the Columbia location is a super store and much bigger than Pineville. This is not the case at all. The young man who checked us out was not friendly at all and seemed upset when he had to hit cancel on the machine as we wanted to use our $400 in dividends. When we arrived home a security tag was still on our item. Our customers service today.

My girlfriend and I went there to look at trail bikes and had a wonderful experience. The employee (Scott) that helped us was very knowledgeable, polite and helpful. He showed us multiple bikes and allowed us to test ride each bike to make sure they met our needs. He spent well over a hour with us answering questions and showing us different bikes he thought would be best for us. At no point did I feel like I was being pushed to buy a bike or like he was trying to sell me the most expensive bike. Their bike repair shop was super nice and once we bought the bikes the tuned them up and made sure everything was perfect. Employees like that and experiences like that are what will keep customers coming back. If you need a bike go see Scott.

Great customer service. I was looking for running shoes and the associate was very helpful offering me different models with clear explanation and guidance. He was paying attention to all my questions and gave me very helpful advices.

Nice service, Awesome bike techs. My front tire got wobbly after a recharge due to Maxxis known issues and they replaced the tire. The bike was sparkling clean and after the necessary adjustments it felt like riding a brand new bike. Thank you Brett!

Giving this review for Ryan (in the shoe section when I visited). He was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. People like Ryan make this place great to visit! I did not make a purchase today, but I will be going home to read a little more in order to make a final decision, and then coming back to order in this store or REI.com if they don’t have my size/color. REI is great. So many fabulous things that you can't find elsewhere. The service is great. They are also doing great with Covid, still have a good one-way flow in the store in May of 2021. All staff are wearing masks. I love that they guarantee their products and the co-op aspect of the business.
