Customer service was horrible they didn’t have my truck when it was time for pickup and they said there was nothing they could do. They were dismissive and unprofessional. Worst experience using uhaul ever!

For the facility owner or manager. I reserved a truck, got there and no appliance dolly. My bad I didn’t put it in my reservation. Figured a Uhaul facility would have plenty of dolly’s. Called the person I’m picking up appliances from and rescheduled. Reserved a truck and dolly for the next day. Get there, no dolly. Called the guy and rescheduled again. Seems logical to have an extra or a back up dolly at the site. When people are renting a truck the dolly is equally important at times. You can do better and not jerk your customers around by not have essential equipment for moving. Hope you find this helpful to improve your operations. For now, this is a well deserved review.

This is by far the worst customer service i have had in my life. Its sad to see that companies have to keep on such people. They are very rude. Very unprofessional im sorry you had to hire such help. They threated to call the cops after they told me the reservation was good to go and i left with the truck. the rep had an attitude with another customer during my transaction as well because they didnt provide him with the rentals he needed. All he wanted was confirmation that it would be taken off the bill and you told him it would be fixed in a nasty tone. Then i ask you for my confirmation that my reservation is cancelled and you tell me to call uhall becuase i dont have the res number after you looked it up by last name and said that you cant do that and stormed off into the back because you have no service skills

Do not ignore other poorly rated reviews. There’s truth there. Very poor communication. Requested a appliance dolly and was only told “we don’t have one available” once we checked the truck. Would’ve been nice to know in advance instead of “seeing if we’d notice” that a crucial tool was missing for our move. Note we requesting an appliance dolly weeks in advance. So we had to buy one for $230. Thanks U-Haul Pineville/Ballantyne. (Sarcasm) - you can rent my appliance dolly now. Also, literally every team member (3 people) told my wife and I something different about where the truck was causing us to get locked out of property, wandering around wasting our time. Don’t bother renting from this store. Each time I think “it’ll be different this time” I am continually proven wrong. It’s not different. It’s just consistent poor attention to detail, horrible communication and zero customer attentiveness.

I will drive from Rock Hill to Pineville every time I need a Uhaul truck, etc. because I know that if Chuckie Barner is working - everything will go well. Things sometimes happen with online reservations, equipment availability, user error, etc. But Chuckie, the General Manager, provides excellent customer service and helps his team members and customers with the best solutions. Having him help me is well worth the extra miles on the van or truck getting back and forth to his location.

Used U-Haul for a long distance move. This location was the only shining light in a less than stellar move experience. The staff here was very helpful, very friendly, and accomodating. You can tell they value their customers. I definitely recommend them.

Front desk very unorganized and unprofessional. Printer wasn’t working so I was told I would get an email with my contract. Never arrived. They hooked up my trailer and for whatever reason I tipped the guy that did it. Huge mistake. Within 2 miles my trailer came unhitched and had to make an emergency stop in traffic. When hooking my trailer back up I noticed the safety latch had not been secured during the initial hookup. Hooked it up myself and drove 600 miles with no problems. When I went to return my trailer the Ballantyne folks changed my location to somewhere far away from where I was staying. Had to call U-Haul and they fixed. Let this be a warning to you if you decide to use this place.

This U-Haul store is great! Chuckie, the owner and his staff are always courteous, friendly and very knowledgeable. The equipment is well maintained and ready to go at the appointed time. I would recommend this business without reservation.

I ve changed my mind about this location...I had a bad experience before here...this time the guy working at this location was truly on top of everything. So knowledgeable, so fast, Attitude 10 out of 10...Thank you for the great service, attitude. Hope The U-haul company do value such employees.

Worst Uhaul customer service ever! Was humiliated by clerk who refused to print equipment return receipt. Want to experience worst service, wait when no one in line while clerk takes bathroom and refuses to print receipt or get treated as trash for asking to check you out? Go to this location.
