Recently we were forced to make the most disgusting decision ever when it came to our buddybear Thor. His poor body was ravaged by a very aggressive cancer, making it time to say goodbye. The doctors and support staff were compassionate, kind, and very gentle with my boy. Dr. Gust was honest about what we were facing, took the time to talk on the phone with a family member who lives out of state, and honestly shared the grave situation with us. Thank you for all you did for our Thorable. We miss him terribly. The Palmer Family

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I use to take my two dogs there. My dog Tonka (5 year old pit bull mix) went there to get neutered, about an hour after I dropped him off, they called me and said he had a reaction to the sedative to put him under and his heart shutdown. With very few answers they made me feel accepting of it, they said it was a 1in a million thing like it was a freak accident and I accepted it. 2 years later I took my dog Yukon (10 year old Cane Corso)for a teeth cleaning, a few hours later the vet called me and said Yukon was struggling with the sedation and wasn’t going to make. So obviously again upset, they had ZERO answers, didn’t really seem like they cared at all and pretty much said “things like this happen” they did however offer to pay for Yukon’s cremation. I honestly wish I would have paid myself, they couldn’t even manage to put his name on his ashes box. Just a blank plate. No name or anything. I will obviously never take anymore dogs there, and encourage anyone else not to either.

They ALWAYS make sure my fur babies are well taken care of. They have been so patient with coming up with a treatment plan for my one cat and they genuinely care about the animals you bring in. I will never go to a different vet! They are also very good at educating us on the medications, conditions, etc and make sure we understand before sending us away. Such a friendly staff.

The best vet in town! Very kind, knowledgeable and patient staff and doctors. Back in 2012 an ER vet put the wrong kind of cast on my cat's leg and made it break worse, West Suburban made it right! We got my cat life saving surgery at no cost to us because the ER vet ended up paying for it. I've been taking my dogs there ever since and we love them!

Kind, Caring, and Understanding are the best words to describe West Suburban. I came here from another vet in the area that was not listening to my concerns about my animal. West Suburban got me an appointment within 48hrs of calling. Figured out my cat's issues and solved the issues! I've been to about 4 different vets here in Toledo over the past 6 years, and West Suburban is by far the best I've encountered. When I called to make the appointment and explain my situation - I was crying because I had just got off the phone with my previous vet who had been very unkind and hurtful. Whomever answered the phone at West Suburban spoke to me with such kindness and understanding - I was so taken aback. She wasn't trying to rush me off the phone or dismiss me - she was actually trying to help! I will be switching all my animals (I have 3 cats and a dog) over the West Suburban and I suggest you all do the same!

Today was our first visit. The staff is very friendly. The place is open and felt very welcoming. The doctor was running behind (which these things happen) I'm mentioning this because he still took the time to talk to me about my dog. I didn't feel rushed. He was very caring. Will continue our visits

Best veterinarians in town. They care about your animals and also you. I had to have one of my cats put to sleep and my heart was breaking. The staff took care of my Panzer and myself during the whole process. We have a paw print of Panzers, and before I had to make the decision to put Panzer to sleep the vet and staff were very caring, explained to me that there was nothing they could do to help. Where the ER vet place I had taken Panzer to the day before gave me false hope, and that other place only cared about money. Not at West Surburban Animal Hospital. They are the best. I highly recommend any animal parent if they are looking for a vet to go here.

As per Google and Yelp, the hours are until 7pm, other places say 6. And apparently at 6pm, they hang up the phone and that’s that. I called just before 6 since Google says open until 7pm. There was issue with cell phone reception on my side, but I was trying to get through that. I advised I didn’t have an account and wanted to find out how soon they could get a cat in to be neutered. I was put on hold and the call disconnected. I called back and got voicemail advising they were closed. That is unprofessional and shows me i can’t trust them. Sad, since I just moved to this area and was looking for a vet for my other pets as well. I guess this vet is off the list

We have been taking all our pets there for several years now. Our Dr had been great in the routine visits and very considerate in the sad times of a family pets life. Very great place for any type of needed services.

Love this place, took my dog vita there for knee surgery and they were amazing. I wish they were closer so we could use them as a primary vet.
