Came here today to do a quick VIN inspection, they refused to do anything saying today is the day by appointment only. And according to their website and phone, you don’t need any appointments for VIN inspection. Rude management.

Just minutes from Portland sits this beautiful facility with luxurious pleather seating (blue is my favorite color), fast and friendly staff. For the low price of just $40, you get a glamour shot and the family gets a safe playground (parking lot) without shootings, chalk outlines, or needles. With video poker around the corner, it's perfect for your next family vacation away from the city. I would give this place five 5 stars, however the waitress never came to refill my coffee despite repeated requests. Unlike the mall photo booths, no stuffed animals are allowed in the photo.

Thank goodness I went on a day that was not crowded so my visit was very nice for the most part. they had it all decorated for Halloween behind the counter which was very appealing and welcoming. the guy at the door when you first enter was very kind and made it a point to make you feel welcome and answered my questions and etc. however, the lady that called my number behind the counter was the complete opposite. She was very unpleasant and straight up rude. went on to accuse me of breaking the law simply because I haven’t changed my drivers license over to Oregon yet didn’t bother to say hello or even look at me and I tried to explain, I did already speak to someone at the DMV and in my situation and it was going to take some time to get my drivers license she cut me off several times and to say, they told you to break the law? They told you to break the law, they shouldn’t have told you to break the law? So she was very rude and very unpleasant. At the end I had all my stuff still spread out on the counter and was in the process of putting it back in my purse she called the next guy up. I still had my personal information on the counter though and when the guy hesitated to approach the for obvious reasons she called him up again and told him to come on up to the counter so he stood off to the side, obviously uncomfortable over the situation, while I gathered up the last of my items and walked away. On the way out I mentioned this to the first guy asking how can he be so pleasant while working alongside someone so absolutely unpleasant? And he asked if I would like to leave a comment card? At which point I said I’d rather speak to your manager if one is available. So the manager came out to speak with me she was very understanding and very kind as well and allowed me to go through what had taken place without cutting me off or being rude (as the other lady was). she apologized for the Representative and assured me that She would have a discussion with her. The first guy also made a comment that customers continuously have a problem with that worker unfortunately. But the actions of the manager and the environment and the first representative compelled me to leave four stars rather than the one star I was tempted to leave on this review due to the poor actions of one person. And by the way the office was not busy at all so it wasn’t just that they were swamped. To clarify the employee in the picture at the right side of the counter is not the employee that was being rude. The one that was being rude would not even stand up so you couldn’t even see her behind the desk or her computer until you were right in front of her. And she was on the far left. She should not be working in a customer service job.

Having an intake desk to make sure folks have what they need before proceeding is brilliant. Overall, very knowledgeable and efficient staff. I did want to offer one bit of constructive (helpful I hope) criticism. I was just about finished with getting my Real ID when the young man helping me was called away to help another worker translate. A young woman then took me to the area to get my photo taken. After doing so, she asked for my "plastic." I had no idea what she was referring to and she then asked if the young man previously helping me gave me my "plastic." She then interrupted him while he was translating and he returned to his work area and was rifling around and peering under his desk. It occurred to me she may be referring to my driver's license - turns out she was - it had to be hole punched while I waited for my new license to come in the mail. Had she simply asked for my driver's license, rather than "plastic,' nobody's time would have been wasted.

This is a great DMV. Super speedy service and friendly, efficient staff. It was a bit of a drive but totally worth the time.

Worst DMV. They have you waiting in line about 30 min only to let you know you have to come in another day. If you are not taking care of certain procedures that day; quot..."Because our manager left and we have no staff to take more people at the time" let the people know once they come in! So easy to say out loud once in a while "Just to let the new people know, we are not taking no more walkings at the time" Tried to schedule and didn't even bother to help. "Look it up online". Well i did, its a 2 Month wait.

This was the best DMV experience I have ever had in my 40 years of dealing with Oregon DMV. TIP: Make an appointment online! - it jumps you right to the front of the line. If you have an appointment, simply go inside and excuse yourself to the next person inline and cut in, saying you have an appt and the ticket person will give you the next ticket. That's how it works, you're not cutting, it's actually the process for people with appointments. I was fortunate in that an employee was outside briefly asking if people had their paperwork ready, when she got to me, I said I have an appointment and she immediately escorted me inside to the front of the line. The person outside then went inside, no longer helping people negotiate the line. DMV needs to post a flyer on the entry door that says something like; " if you have an appointment come inside and go to the front of the line, stand next to the person at the front of the line and raise your hand so that the DMV employees knows you have an appointment". or something like that.

Maybe it was just luck of the draw, but I had a totally five star experience. The guy at the reception desk was good natured and humorous and helped me get all my paperwork in order so there wouldn't be any delays. Then I got to go to the front of the line because I had an appointment and was called up within 10 minutes. Took about 20 minutes to get my new license and real ID and I was outta there. Everyone seemed really friendly and helpful to me.

No Wi-Fi which would be nice while waiting. No issues. Would recommend an appointment if not you can always just pick a number and wait.
