Decent record store. Not a whole of wide sections.

Great selection of vinyl. The shopkeeper was kind and helped me find what I was looking for.

Bit of nostalgia met with current coolness. What I mean is I can flip through albums like I used to as a kid but there is also a mix of the new vinyl pressings available. Found a lot of great condition LPs from the past. This place was great!

Nice little place like a throw back in time. I enjoy talking with owners Dan & Paul. I have special ordered some selections and they've been helpful in getting them for me. I have purchased many albums and CD's here over the years. Put this one on your list!!!

Best little record store in town. Also, the live punk shows are the best.

I've been to Record Smith twice over the span of a few months. The main reason it took so long between visits was the overall weak selection. It's mostly made up of dad rock, classic rock, a dime a dozen soul/jazz/blues/etc. albums, and RSD leftovers from years gone by. There's also 45's and new vinyl/reissues. There's no real section with punk, metal, and electronic music. Record Smith's selection reminds me of those crates at a record fair with $1-$3 records. Just way too much filler on the shelves for such a small shop. The prices are somewhat fair, but some based on condition of covers and vinyl was overpriced. I also have a big issue with an employee smoking a cigarette with the front door opened enough for the smell to creep in. Although I rated a 3, it's a very low 3/2+. This is mainly because I have found something to purchase on each visit. I also like that they have chairs to sit and a complimentary coffee area. There's no listening station or bathroom for customers from what I can tell. If you are looking for some real tasty gems this will not be your spot. If you are new to vinyl and looking to start you'll likely find something affordable here.

My favorite haunt for records. Being a young vinyl hunter, Second & Charles or Barnes & Noble can't live up to what this store offers. The staff is friendly and the prices are very reasonable. I'd recommend no other local store.

Paul and Dan really know their stuff! Recordsmith is a total asset to our community and we are lucky to have it here. Vinyl collecting is on the upswing, and we hope they stick around in Mechanicsburg for the next generation of passionate collectors .

This is a place for a vinyl collector to spend hours at. Dan and Paul are incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about records and music. Their new selection is very carefully selected but nearly non-existent (except for Record Store Day material). However, their used selection is just as carerefully selected. They have a very small inventory, but they have a fantastic selection. I wish they would move to a bigger location, and they need more punk, alternative, and metal.

Went in not quite knowing what to expect but the guy running the shop was helpful and very nice. Ended up only leaving with a single album, but it was a rare find from record day a few years ago. Super happy with the trip
