Wow! The service at this post office has gone downhill. I remember there used to be a nice gentleman and lady here at the front, but not for a while. When I went in, one of the girls in the front was especially rude and played dumb when I requested information. The manager, Brian, was very helpful, apologized, and looked into the situation.

Ever since Postmaster-General DeJoy implemented his USPS "improvement" program some weeks ago, Priority Express mail doesn't arrive on time, regular mail delivery to my home and office is very slow, and getting through the line at the Newtown Post Office takes much, much longer than usual. This isn't the staff's fault, it's because there seems to be a deliberate effort to undermine the USPS ahead of the election.

Saturday 8/22/20 the letter carrier on 413 S was at a mail box and pulled out recklessly in front of the car in front of me. Cause him to lock up brakes, me to lock up brakes and driver behind me to swerve into the incoming traffic. Saw him so this at the next mailbox as well. They've got to pull out safely! Totally reckless.

I've been using this place a lot recently, selling stuff on eBay. The staff are really knowledgeable and efficient, and friendly for the most part. There's plenty of parking and I've only ever stood it queue for a a maximum of a couple of minutes, it's usually pretty quiet there.

Second time for two months the mailman forget to put a key from the parcel locker to the mail box. Thanks to managers, they solve the problem. But still.

Unfortunately I decided to drop off my packages in a drop box at this post office. I was warned that they were slow but I didn't have time to make it to a better USPS... It took them 2 days to open the box that said collection time was 1PM and 5PM everyday. Then to make it worse they never scanned in 3 out of the 10 packages. Lost? Or stolen? Who knows, but because of this experience I have mad customers and lost a fair bit of money. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

New and spacious building with ample parking space. One of the staff could show could have shown some emotions while asking customers for help.

Even though I live in the next town, I come here because the staff is very polite and helpful. Just be aware, just as any PO, things get extremely busy around closing time. However, they usually handle it efficiently. The parking arrangement though can be a little chaotic, so use extra caution.
