Everyone at J. Bertolet's Dealership has been most helpful in teaching me what I need to know about the ID.4. I had a 2017 Jetta that I loved, and that prepared me for the ID.4 experience. I already am relatively comfortable driving the ID.4 t even though I have had it a little over a week. (I even charged it myself, with a wee bit of assistance, at home this week.) I was told to drive it as a regular vehicle for a few weeks before tackling some of the more unique features of the ID.4. which I am doing. Charging was one of the more challenging tasks I set for myself, and I managed to do that.

Going to J. Bertolet’s never feels like going to a car dealership. Everyone is kind, caring and attentive. It’s the only place worth going to buy and service a VW. Period.

Called to make a service appointment due to car making a weird noise was asked is there a light on my dashboard I said no, was told don’t bother we can’t do anything about your car making that noise I appreciate the saving the few dollars but I would like to have my car fixed instead of getting the problem swept under the mat. If they do this to All customer this is terrible

Sales & Service recommended! We recently completed the purchase of a 2021 Jetta from J. Bertolet. This was our 2nd transaction in the past 7 years with them. Both instances were pleasant, cordial, professional and enjoyable. The most recent experience with George R. was wonderfully easy going and efficient. I had requested model information in advance of our test drive and George kept me up to date on the delivery and availability of stock. He greeted us warmly as we arrived. The trade in experience felt easier than I expected. We were barely at the dealership 2 hours and left with our new car! The dealership has been in operation with the same family since 1964 and it shows. Competency and experience shows!

Review is for the service department: they took good care of my vehicle and provided and offered all services needed and they treated me like a human being with courtesy and respect. Also got my vehicle in for service right away with no issue and were friendly and willing to help. Able to provide a loaner car to make the appointment scheduling convenient with my work schedule. The 2 gentlemen at the service counter were professional and organized. A few weeks ago they also assisted me for nothing in a bad situation with my windshield wiper broken. Again I was treated like a human being and the service man understood my problem right away and was caring, helpful and respectful.

Best service experience hands down! They were able to take me last minute this week for my first 10k service for my Atlas Cross Sport! They even came and picked my car up from my work which is only 15 minutes away from the dealership. They made servicing my vehicle so easy! I would highly recommend this dealership to any VW owner I come into contact with. Looking forward to continue doing my servicing and buying needs here!

Delayed review from about 2 years prior, hope things changed. Absolute worst services I’ve ever had. Must Jetta broke down and had my vehicle towed to the dealership. They had my car for 3 weeks just sitting there before they even looked at my car. I had to call every day to get an update, and they kept putting the devices off. This made me feel like I was just an after thought. They didn’t do anything to make it up to me or even apologize for the long wait. On top of this all the owner tried to sell me a new vehicle while all I wanted was my car to be fixed. I will never recommend this dealership nor will I ever come here again.

We had an absolutely amazing experience buying a car from J Bertolet VW. We are based in Stamford (more than 150 miles away from the dealership) but the drive was well worth it. We saw a VW golf on their website that we really liked. We contacted John Bertolet about it and right form the first phone call, he put us completely at ease with the buying process. On the day of the purchase, we traveled all the way only to realize that due to a paperwork issue we couldn’t proceed with buying the car right then. John was very understanding and offered to hold the car for us until the situation was resolved. When we offered to put up a hefty deposit to secure the car, John refused saying that he couldn’t in good conscience take a big deposit at a time of financial instability due to the COVID19. We were struck by how ethical and customer friendly he and everyone at the dealership were. We later returned after 2 weeks to finish the process and pickup the car. After handling the paperwork, John spent over an hour patiently explaining the features of the car and answering all our questions. Overall, we were very nervous about the car buying process considering the COVID19 pandemic and also the fact that we were first time buyers but we couldn’t have picked a better person and dealership to buy a car from. We can’t recommend John and the Bertolet VW dealership enough! We will travel the 150 miles again to buy our next car (hopefully not for a while :)
