I’m a student at Brown, and I rented a storage space at extra space storage with fellow students to store our things over the summer. I’m coming to write a review mostly because of Tim, one of the workers at the storage facility. He’s helped us with the craziness of moving out at the end of the school year, checked in on us, was super responsive, always so kind, and helped us troubleshoot when issues came up. He really went above and beyond. The storage space itself is also great, clean, and secure. Great for students looking for a place to leave things over the summer.

Extra Space Storage is a nice, convenient storage facility in a very good location. It is very easy to access ALL of the units, and 4-wheeled carts are provided to move your things in and out of the units free of charge. The entire facility is clean and very well lit with adequate access times; you shouldn't be moving after 10pm anyway so go home and take a rest, hehe.

This location is very professional, very friendly and very well organized. The staff treats customers like family and respects customers no matter who you are. Their storage lockers don't have any signs of mice droppings (Very rare to find a storage company with no animal / bug infestation) and the building is very clean. This is what you want when you want to rent a storage locker. Highly recommend And no this is not a paid review I am an actual customer 😁

Fast booking and easy entry. Avoids dealing with sometimes cranky employees at other companies’ facilities. I moved from a u-haul facility that had no restroom in the storage building and where I wasn’t allowed to use the restroom at the rental office because I arrived exactly when they were closing.

Keep hiking my rates yet the gate HAS NOT WORKED ONE DAY in the 6+months that I've been there! Midnight, 2am whatever those gates are high in the air 24/7 but I'm paying a premium price for anyone to be able to roll right up to my door and pry it open. FIX THE GATES or LOWER our rents! We travel for work (medical) and require a SAFE place to store our items while we are gone. The company response I see to many other complaints is raising rates to continue to provide safe and secure facilities. (By leaving the gates open all night of course) We all should get retroactive payback on those rate hikes until the gates are working properly. Notice in their reply the completely IGNORED the fact the gate stays open?

I have to be honest.. it appeared to be cleaned but I did experience a roach issue the second time I went to bring items there was a roach on the elevator the 2nd week wild adding items to my unit a noticed one live roach and two dead ones in my unit. They already was aware of them having roaches. I understand they cannot stop people from bringing in invested items but for the most part the storage is clean. So far i’ve been back in my apartment for two weeks and I have not seen a roach so I’m praying that I didn’t bring any from the storage unit but I do have other things I’m about to bring home this week , I remain optimistic.!!🌸

This location and staff is phenomenal. Tim is genuine and was so kind throughout the process. I am a younger student and he explained the whole storage process to me clearly and took time out of his day to show me the lock process. The space is clean but what makes the place is the team. Great people! Great location! Will be using every year during college.

The Corliss St location in Providence is amazing because of the manager and staff. Storage is storage, it's a box, but the difference is is how the site works with you. In the case of this location, they are empowered to buildcreative storage solutions, match flexibility needs, find deals, and earn the long-term tenancy. A+. Also had good Extra Space experiences elsewhere. By contrast, Uhaul is a nightmare every time. UPDATE: That good stuff about the local management aside - still true, my local guys - the "corporate" overlords tank this review all the way to 1 star, zero if I could. 50% no-notice rent increase is inexcusable. As are direct debit billing errors well over $100 where they won't give your money back despite identifying, acknowledging and admitting to the error. This company's whole scam is to get people into storage on low variable rate contracts, set up automatic payments, then send rates quietly through the roof (throw in a few convenient accounting mistakes) and see who notices. When everyone leaves over the astronomical rates, they just sign up and milk a new crowd. Their target market is the indifferent rich and people not paying attention. Careful of the scam. If all I say is speculation and conspiracy theory, still run away given the highly volatile variable rate contracts and the Extra Space algorithm that has no basis whatsoever in market value.

Friendly staff, clean facility, convenient location and fair pricing. My only wish is that they would allow access until 11pm instead of 10pm. Other than that, I'm very happy with the storage locker and have recommended Extra Space Storage to friends looking for a storage facility.
