Stopped here for a quick snack. The staff is friendly and the store is clean. This is a little smaller than the other Spinx store that I’ve visited, but that doesn’t affect the selection or customer service. Bonus points for having a clean restroom 😉

If reviewing a business frequented often, like a nearby gas station, to be fair a reviewer needs to carefully consider (calculate) an average level of satisfaction derived from the total number of visits, which is what I've tried to do. I live 2 miles from this location and have stopped in for gas/food/car washes many dozens of times. When creating this review naturally I'm comparing this Spinx location's performance, and its value to me, with its competitor across the street (QT). I've used that QT location dozens of times also. I'd love a reason to support Spinx, a local business, over QT. But, here are some of the major factors leading to my 2 Star review. 1. The gas price displayed in the large gas price "sign" is never what I actually pay at Spinx but it is what I actually pay at QT. Inevitably, Spinx's and QT's displayed gas prices are the same. Spinx penalizes me, charges me more, by using my credit card. QT does not penalize me. I pay less at QT. 2. Spinx's commercials and billboards promoting the food they serve is overly self-congratulatory. The so-called "Legendary" chicken biscuits are usually dry. They fall so very short of being satisfactory that promoting them as "legendary" is dishonest (like charging more for gas than the advertised price--again, QT charges the displayed price and Spinx does not). 3. I've paid for many car washes at this Spinx location. No more. The second to the last time I used the car wash it was obviously malfunctioning. The blowers that "dry" the vehicle at the end before driving out did not come on/failed to operate. I went into the store and reported this to a person at the checkout. With an obvious dismissive attitude, being busy with the many customers at the time, she gave me a code ticket to use the car wash again. She displayed no recognition of the need to have the carwash repaired. I told her the carwash needs to be repaired and to tell someone that the carwash isn't working properly. I asked for a refund, which she gave me, used the code to run my vehicle through the carwash a second time, still the drying blowers didn't work. Two weeks later, I stopped for gas and carwash. The blowers STILL DIDN'T WORK. I went into the store and asked for a refund and to speak to "the manager". The manager, with a surly, grumpy attitude, listened as I told him about my carwash experience of 2 weeks ago and also that day's experience. He registered ZERO care about why the carwash didn't work today, why it was not repaired, or why, if it had been repaired recently was it now NOT working again. He acted like he didn't give a flying f---k about it. 4. If you use Spinx and QT often you consistently experience more politeness. courtesy, and professionalism from the staff at QT than that from Spinx. Employees with better attitudes are going to do a better job keeping restrooms clean as well as the areas around the gas pumps. I could go on, but what's the point. I am not spending more time calling a Spinx phone number to provide more details and listen to rationalizing. I'll simply drive into the QT across the street.

Employee was on a personal phone call at register and wasn’t too interested in helping. Had to add money to gas pump on prepaid card inside because it would not take it at pump. Needed a refund for putting too much on, but was quickly told bc it ran as credit, that it would go back on. It hasn’t - I honestly should have gotten a receipt and I assume I’ll never see that money again .... I see employees on calls at register in many places, it doesn’t bother me because they pause their conversation when helping customers, but this young lady continued talking, and then acted annoyed when I came back in. Was definitely not interested in helping. I know I should have gotten a receipt and probably questioned the fact that I did not use a credit card, but a prepaid ran as credit, but honestly the employee made me so uncomfortable/like I was bothering her that I just took her word at left.

Tried to buy some products requiring ID, was told my ID was invalid (out of state). They could literally look at the birth day, I don't care their register won't scan it...it's basic common sense. First and last time going.

Yesterday the cashier was having a whole conversation via Bluetooth while checking out customers, RUDE!!! Today I go in and sign said no wings or wedges so I ask if they had okra, nope. I knew he was lying, he was just too lazy to cook it. I left without buying anything.

My favorite place to buy gas. I will always be loyal to them.Just because a bigger store opened up just down the street doesn't mean they are better. Spinx's has always severed good food and best prices on gas.They have been good to the community for many years.

It's a gas station. You get everything you'd expect from a standard gas station. This one has two advantages. 1) Customer service excellence. From all levels of staff. 2) Breakfast items. Seriously. Better than the other 2 biscuit providers in the same neighborhood. Yes. Really.

i purchased 2 thighs and a large okra. they were the worst. The chicken didn't even taste like chicken. It has a bitter taste to it. The okra.....i think there was more grease in the okra then there was in the fryer. I saw the fryer was cooking tenders. so i figured they was cooking the okra else where. Then i see him go over there with a thermometer i guess to check the temperature....why are you checking the temp on some grease and its cooking? Well guess what they was not cooking tenders in that fryer.....they was cooking my okra. So my okra was sitting in grease while the grease was warming up. I was so disappointed in the food. So the 2 guys working in the back.....my my my....act like they didnt want to be there. The black guy is just totally lost(i am not racist i am black also)...he moves slower than Molasses on a cold day. I don't know what to say. I have had 2 bad experiences with this Spinx....3 strikes you're out. You wonder why QT is getting all your business. Drain the grease and clean the fryers better than you do. Oh i forgot....why did you give me condiments with the gloves on and went back in the kitchen to continue to cook without take the gloves off and throwing them away.

On 4/28/2016 I used the carwash at this Spinx and selected the middle option. The wash rinsed my car with only water 4 times, no soap, none of the features advertised. The car was still plainly dirty when finished. I was not given a refund. The carwash is a waste of your time and money.
