I tried to enter GDC at 5:53 when their website advertises they close at 6, for the purpose of doing a 5-minute look for a very specific piece of furniture. The doors were already locked, and three employees looked on without any attempt to unlock the doors. I planned my errands and apportioned my time around the advertised closing time; it is unprofessional for a business based in customer service to be so disrespectful of a customer’s time — especially at a price point such that part of what you are paying for is a level of customer service beyond the average retail store.

GDC Home on Coleman Boulevard in Mount Pleasant is a great place to go for all things quality home items in one location. They have a wide selection of different styles and selections that can fit just about any situation. I have been happy with all of the purchases that I have made from here and they have worked well

I love GDC! My mom and I have found great little furnishings for our homes here over the years. I especially love the fabrics, too! They have a great and very extensive selection of fabrics in store, and I've always been able to find just what I'm looking for. The staff also so friendly and helpful, which makes the whole experience enjoyable. I also appreciate how this store takes covid-19 precautions seriously! I have always felt safe inside the store during the pandemic.

😂I have to just laugh because now that I’ve read through many reviews I can see the terrible customer service is NOT personal - it’s the standard. I will say besides not being greeted or assisted for at least 20 minutes walking by many employees throughout the store, including the 6+ women at the front desk who said absolutely nothing and offered no assistance. The good news is nothing really stood out to me there and so we are happy to furnish our newly renovated home at Celadon, Steven Shell, etc ... pretty much anywhere else you go will have a better selection of items and extremely better service. I will say at the end of the visit as I was leaving and my husband was staying to check out a rug , one woman in the back did help us take the rug down.

My husband and I went in to look for fabric to cover dining room chairs. Not one single person spoke or offered to help us in the fabric department. They spoke and chatted with people that came in before and after us like they were best friends. So disappointed in the customer service.

My family and I have been coming to GDC Mt. Pleasant since I was a kid! The quality of their furniture, accessories + rugs are unmatched in the area. The staff is always super friendly + helpful. Would highly recommend shopping here!

Casey at the front desk went beyond the call of duty when I ordered a rug pad for our new carpet and she delivered it to me at my house on her way home. We have bought several carpets at GDC and have always had an excellent experience there. High five to Casey Stephen Lang

Casey and Anna greeted me as soon as I walked in, the only reason I know their names is because the great conversation I had with them as I walked in. They asked what I needed and wasted no time to introduce me to Madison, the design consultant who then made my experience at gdc so smooth and easy. I found exactly what I was looking for and the product knowledge she had impressed me. I am in the design field and having a relationship with a local retailer like gdc is great, their resources and range of brands have been a great help to local designers and our clients!

I have worked with Ariel to transform both my Isle of Palms and Maryland homes over a two plus year time period and couldn’t be more satisfied with the outcomes. Both of these transformations were comprehensive and complex and included the interior and exterior of the homes. There was a lot of collaboration and while we agreed more then we disagreed, it never became personal when our views were not aligned. I gained a much greater appreciation for the skills that an interior designer must have to be great at their profession. GDC offered unique choices in furniture, remnants, art work, lighting, accessories etc. that it was near one stop shopping for me. While I don’t enjoy shopping and try to avoid it like COVID-19, I always looked forward to seeing the team at GDC where I was treated with great kindness and respect.

After moving here in 2013, I've purchased several upholstered goods, rugs, fabrics and outdoor furniture. The quality is exceptional and the service has always been first class. I've had the pleasure of working with Michelle in the Mt Pleasant store located on Coleman and she's been so helpful in pulling things together for me. The whole staff goes out of their way when I go in to to browse, usually ending up in a sale! I highly recommend them for their service and attention to detail.
