I have been coming to the Kingsport Ulta beauty salon for 5 years now and am very disappointed today about getting my hair done. Had an appointment at 3:00 called to say I was running a little behind but was in the parking lot at 3:10. The stylist Lexi claims to the manager over the hair stylist that I didn't call until quarter after which is a lie! Also, that I had not showed up for my appointments and didn't bother to call them and cancel my appointments which is also a lie. So I will not be using this location anymore as they have not the stylist that I have been using working here anymore Layne, who is a great stylist by the way. Very disappointed in the way I was treated and just wanted to let you know ladies do not be late at all for your appointment with Lexi or Lexis. 🙃

I'm leaving this review in reference to my wife Stormies review about her experience today at Ulta. 1st of all we've been shopping and getting her hair done at least 4 times a year for the past 6 years, and well to start off she's been a little sick so she has had to call and reschedule twice and today she had an appointment at 3:00pm and was running a few minutes behind and called to let them know she was in the parking lot at 3:10 and the stylist tells her she has to reschedule over less than 10 minutes late. She has been currently using lane as her stylist for 6 years and there has always been a 15 minute window, anyway she decides to try out there new stylist Lexi I think so when she wouldn't do her hair she called the Manager and told her what the problem was and Jean the manager sided with the stylist and the stylist had told a complete boldface lie that she had not shown up for previous appointments, and that she did not call until 3:15 which is another lie, my wife had her phone and could prove that she did call when she couldn't make it and also called to tell her she was a few minutes late. Very unprofessional, I've spent thousands of dollars in that store over the past few years and been a diamond member for 3or4 years but if they want to let a new girl and a unprofessional manager ruin their store then we will be going somewhere else from now on. She has never in 6 years been done this was by her previous stylist Lane. They need to be begging Lane to come back or they will go out of business. 😠

It’s really disappointing to go into a store where most of the workers think they are better than you, because they work with makeup, etc all day. I can count on my fingers the amount of times, I’ve actually felt welcome when coming into that store. Not to mention they ask you at least 5 times, if not more “can I help you find anything?” It’s completely unnecessary. Do better Ulta, because I love that store and would love to be able to come in there and shop more than what I do!

THANK YOU LINDSEY!!! …. She did an phenomenal job on my hair. I could not stop looking in the mirror and kept smiling. I am extremely happy with my look. She knew exactly what to do to fix my hair.

I hope to be able to update my review or change it. I ordered a few items to pick up. I really needed the brow product as soon as possible and they supposedly have a guarantee pick up in 2 hours if ordering prior to 6 PM. I don't want to go to work with with the little brows I have especially when my hair is dark and brows are a good bit lighter and very thin. I ordered before the store even opened, the night before after they closed. It is afternoon the next day and I call the store and she says it should be ready sometime this afternoon or this evening and said she believes she (whoever) is working on orders. She seemed a bit frustrated I even called to check on it. Plus I found out through the order email confirmation there is not a gurantee all items are in stock and supposedly items were listed in stock at this location when I ordered. It would have been much faster picking up the items myself but I've never been to Ulta (in store) and have trouble finding items so thought this would be easier and I can't get refunded yet either so I just have to wait. I don't think I will be ordering items from Ulta and will just make sure I don't run out of items so I can order from another vendor and save money anyway. Plus the free gifts aren't available because they are out of stock (but I found that out when ordering). I still ordered because I need the brow product. I need these items before work.

Come in today to find 2 things, first thing I ask employee said no online only so I looked around and then went back and ask for urea cream and she " no no we don't have that" I just looked at her and she said well what is it? So how can you say you don't have something if you don't even know what it is. I found something I was going to buy went to front and lines backed up 5 people in line and 2 resisters stuck because employees didn't know what to do with issues. I put items down and walked out with 2 other people that was in line. Chelsey the manager when I called back she was in back office and it totally out of loop with what is going on at her front checkout. Go somewhere lane I would recommend !

I had called for a week straight as I was told the “lash & brow” person was out sick to keep calling. I was inquiring about lash extensions. The first week I was calling everyone I spoke to was extremely nice. This week I call one time and I’m put on hold to see if Michelle is there. Assuming Michelle is the lash and brow person. Then a completely different associate picks up the phone and tells me they just don’t do lash extensions and they don’t have a person by the name Michelle there. I have been told 3 different things and given a false hope that that was a possible service.

I had a 4:30 appointment. When I arrived I spoke with the stylist. She had just started someone else in my appt time. I said ok what time do you think? I asked if they could just text or call me when she was ready. She told me maybe 30 minutes. No worries right. After an hour I went back in. Still no where near finished. After an hour and a half of waiting I'm upset. Still not finished. I drove over an hour and left work to make this appointment. My time is valuable. I finally just had to leave. So disappointed to be disrespected like this. I bought my hair product and left.. also without the gift with purchase... a phone call or message to reschedule would have been nice. Very upset and going elsewhere.

I went in for makeup brush, one hair stylist walked by loved the way my hair was cut and wanted a picture to show her momma. How ever it needed trimming up bad. So I made a appointment with her to trim it. And she did a great job. We talked about my hair color because it’s white in the front to around the back, in the middle of the back it’s salt and pepper. I had been using a store bought product and to lighten my back without using bleach. So I’m giving her a try today. Let’s try this Lindsey, I’m trusting you with my hair. Kingsport Tn.
