I do not recommend bringing any clothes here, because even if they’re name brand they will not take it. Me and my cousin came in and she had all name brand. It took about 15 minutes and they texted and said they couldn’t take any of the clothes. Saying that, it looks like the bag had not even been touched. It’s ridiculous that they are becoming so lazy. Do not go here to get rid of clothes!

This store is ok. Plato's closet does live up to its marketing - trendier used clothing, but it does come at a cost. It is used clothing, but you pay for the convience of having only nicer brands, so you pay a little more than what you would at a thrift store. However, I still don't typically find things that I interested in. You dig through a lot of old navy, target brands, and the like, but there are nicer brands mixed in, but hard to find in my size. I guess the good stuff goes quickly, and if you go more frequently you'll be more likely to find nicer pieces.

Not bad! Some of the clothing could be priced better, especially considering it’s used. Overall, there were lots of great options and the store as super organized

Horrible. I have been going to Plato’s Closet for over 10 years and today was the worst experience I ever experienced. I brought in one bag of clothes with juicy couture boots( barely worn) puma high tops ( barely worn )and some vans. Along with some nice brand name shirts, dresses and a couple tank tops and jeans. I get a text saying they can’t except any of the clothes. I go there and they said sorry we can’t take any, well I look at my bag and it wasn’t even opened. This place I have come to realize profiles who they want to take buys from or who has the best clothes. Their customer service skills are the worst and the girls there this morning didn’t have the least bit of professional manner. This place has gone down hill. They have lost my business for good.

I've never had them buy more than a few items at a time and I always leave feeling a little cheated. That being said, it is my choice whether I accept their offer, so I can only complain so much. Just in my personal opinion Planet Exchange pays better and has better inventory as far as second hand stores that also purchase used clothing. If you are just looking for discount clothing, to support a local business, great thrift finds, or fantastic prices, KARM has them both beat hands down in every category.

This is by the far the largest and nicest platos I've been to and I have gone to several locations in different states. Everything is super well organized. The only thing I can say that was a bit disappointing was the small selection of shoes. It seems like they havent gotten much people selling lately. Either way I was really happy with my purchase and will be returning.

Love the organization and clothes of the store! Prices could be lower but I understand higher demanded items can get more $$$. Throughout my ~5 years of coming here, it always seems like the employees fit a certain description and they’re always rude and are not friendly at all. I avoid any interaction with employees until I check out. I have brought a couple personal bags full of clothes in to sell and they’ve passed on (what I believe) really good items when they carry the cheapest, most horrible quality Shein and Romwe clothes. I think maybe a better management could fix some of the issues this Plato’s has.

It's my first time at this location since we moved to Knoxville. I made sure to check the website and hours. I arrived there and went to the counter where there was a very miserable lady. She was rude and so unpleasant. She told me I could only drop off one container. Even though Ihad 2 small bags and the lady before had a huge tub with more items than my 2 bags combined. She was never taught to say please and thank you. Another kid was working the register and looked miserable. No customer service not even basic politeness. Very miserable and toxic place. I will not come back or recommend

Cheap clothes usually sold for cheap. Best place to drop off some clothes and make some money on the spot! As a plus sized woman, If you look through tshirts and dresses you WILL find something that fits you. They have zero plus size past XL otherwise. Try Planet Exchange for selling your nice, expensive items.

First off the person that got my information acted like she didn't want to be there snobby acting not professional. Then when my items were being checked they only bought 5 pairs of my jeans they were AMERICAN EAGLE barely worn. And completely low balled me on the offer yes went ahead and sold my items but never again. Some of the the items in the store they are selling you can buy them brand new in TJ MAXX, ROSS, MARSHALL for lower price. Alot of the items are old completely used in which why are they selling those but don't want to buy clothes from customers with excellent used clothes well lesson learned never again.
