Recently stopped in to sell a tube amp I didnt need. Worked with a couple of very friendly helpful employees who got me a price to sell my amp. I wasnt sure if I wanted the offer so I said I would think about it and come back. I returned to the store an hour later and told them I would accept their offer. At that point one of the employees told me they didnt have any cash in the store. They asked me if I would accept a check in the mail. I didnt like the idea of that so I told them no. The employee then tells me that if I could wait a little and come back they might get enough cash from sales. I said ok and explained that I lived an hour away and wouldnt mind waiting because I wouldnt be making another trip to nashville anytime soon. At that point another employee who was listening to our conversation chimes in and tells me they arent interested in buying my amp anymore. The other two employees looked at eachother in shock and got silent. I said ok, took my amp and out the door I went without another word being said. I hate that it ended this way because I have been giving samash my business for the last 20 years and have always had a pleasant experience. That being said I wont be back and took my business to guitar center right after that who then bought my amp no problem.

I came in to sell a drum set and 2 snares, hoping to exchange them for some new cymbals. I was helped by Chandler and was told that they would get some numbers on the set and come back with a price for me soon. After waiting about an hour I was told that they were still running numbers and would hopefully have something soon. After another hour I was told they were close but Chandler needed to consult with Tyler (Manager) and would have something soon. After waiting 3 & 1/2 hours I was finally given a price that was much lower than I was looking for and honestly felt like an insult. I asked if they could budge, and was told by Chandler he needed to consult with Tyler before he could tell me. They quoted the same price again, so I ended up walking out very disappointed with my set and snares. I went across the street to guitar center and received a price with a breakdown for each drum within 15 minutes of walking through the door. I received $150 more than Sam Ash could offer and walked out happy. I have nothing bad to say about Chandler, but I hope that Sam Ash can re-evaluate how they buy equipment because there is something wrong with making people wait 3 and 1/2 hours just to give them a price way below their direct competitor.

Really enjoyed my interaction with Andrew. He helped me order a Push 2 and had it shipped to my house. Not only did it arrive early but he followed up with a phone call to check and see if I got the device and if so how i was liking it. He also said I could call him with any Ableton/Push 2 questions if I needed it. He is the man and I can't wait to see purchase something from him the future!

First off, Ben and Billy are the best. Visit the store, Don't buy online. Especially if you are buying an instrument. I started out with a purchase online from samash.com and the trumpet I bought, on the cheaper, side but had great reviews was horrible. I wont go into detail but I was completely disappointed. I called the store to see if I can do a return and Ben answered. I can't say enough good things about Ben. He didn't rush to end the call but was extremely patient as I told him the issues, and he said bring it in and we will make it right. I asked him if he knew anything about trumpets and unfortunately, he admitted he didn't know much about them but would help in anyway he could. He described over the phone what trumpets they had in stock, used and new and one caught my attention. I asked him if he could describe it more in detail and he did. I asked a ton of questions about the valves, slides, scratches, dings, dents and such and he was extremely helpful in testing everything. I told him I'd be in in a few days, but he was going to be off but gave all my concerns to Billy. Like Ben, I can't say enough good things about Billy. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by someone and I had asked to speak with Billy. Within seconds he was there. He took his time with me and let me play any of the horns to test them out. I had originally wanted to go in and order a new, more expensive horn, but that used horn that Ben described on the phone caught my attention. As I played it for a bit, tried some others too, Billy did not even rush me to make a sale, he said take your time and play around with it. I lost track of time and he made sure he kept checking in with me while he processed my return of the original trumpet. He could have easily tried to up-sale me into a new expensive trumpet, but he could see the chemistry that I had with this used one, which is the one I ended up buying. The sale was seamless. The experience in-store was phenomenal, more than what I could have asked for. So all in all Ben was more than helpful and went above and beyond over the phone and Billy was completely patient while I made my decision. Ben has called and emailed to follow up with me since then. I will definitely be making many trips back to Sam Ash. Thanks guys,

Hi guys. Andrew was very attentive and helpful to me - someone who was out of his element purchasing an expensive keyboard - for a church non-the-less. He could have ignored me being an "old man" with dumb questions, but he was very kind. Especially appreciated the extras he offered me (2 year extended warranty and the keyboard stand). I drove from Paducah - dropped someone off at the airport in addition to keyboard shopping. My town no longer has the music stores we had 40 years ago and the one I did go to ignored me even though I visited twice. Andrew - with the help of another gentleman even loaded the items into my car. I have to say my experience was 100% positive thanks to the quality instruments you carry and for the great staff you have. Our new Korg keyboard was played in our church service this morning and everyone - including the pianist - was very happy with the instrument. Thanks again Andrew!! Randy

First off let’s just give one Amazing Congratulations 🍾🎉🎈 to this family for being family owned and Operated for almost 100 years. I mean who wouldn’t want to tap into us awesomeness. I drove 3 hours to get here and I must say God Lead me here. Andrew is highly recommended as a salesman simply because he knows his Shiii. I’m beyond satisfied and I will never do business with any other music Competition ever again outside of this store. I mean how could I. They over here setting the Bars straight. I recently purchased a Ampeg tube amplifier from Sam Ash. Upon recent the package was severely damaged. The representative, Anthony, at Sam Ash was very communicative and offered a 90 guaranteed return policy. The amplifier ended up being okay, however I changed my mind on my choice. Anthony was very understanding and cooperative. Even though we could not return the amp in it's original box (it was destroyed!) they still gave me a full refund in a very timely manner. My experience with Anthony was definitely a good one and I will look to them for future purchases. Highly recommend

I purchased an item from this location online on a Monday, before the store closed. Apparently the store did not bother to take the item off the shelf and then sold the item in store the next business day. They simply refunded my money and sent a short message asking me to check out their store for any other items I might want. Why would I spend any money at a store that just failed at the most basic task for online sales, and then offered me nothing for my issues? Locally owned shops are just... continually so much better than chain stores.

Quality store; I went in here looking to review it. I found: Great deals on used gear (as well as new equipment.) Sam Ash is an enormous music store, The employees are well informed, polite, and helpful. They have a great deal on the products in their various sections, with a ranging spectrum of every musical sound you can think of them having.
