Chad the cashier is so wonderful! Such a delightful person to have a quick conversation with. I felt like I just had a conversation with a long time friend and today was my first interaction with him. What a sweet person!

It's always PACKED but still has everything in stock! Produce is phenomenal, pharmacy staff is friendly and helpful and the meats are devine! Can you as for anything else? The parking lot can be a s$&t-show, but hey, that's bargain for what you get!

I used to live near this H-E-B 15 years ago and I used to love it then. It was a small, neighborhood HEB but I like it. Since I was in the area today I thought I would stop by that HEB for a few essentials. It's nice to see that it still standing, with a few renovations. The staff is still friendly and helpful and I was able to find everything I need plus some. It was also nice to get a sample from cooking connection. The sample was great and I bought all the ingredients to make it at home. My only complaint is that there was a lady handing out ice cream samples, but didn't offer us any as we walked by her. Also, at the deli counter after I got my meats and cheeses, I politely asked the attendant if he would slice my summer sausage and he said he couldn't. I purchased the summer sausage often and the other HEB delicatessens slice it for me with no problem. I was a little disappointed to find that they refused to do so. Other than that, it was so nice trip to my old neighborhood HEB.

I love this H‑E‑B but today they disappointed me. It was like 8:00pm and I decided to shop late because I don’t like it when is busy but most of the time I shop during the day and they are always fantastic. Anyways I check around 9:06pm and they only got one cashier and he is an old sir and he already seems super annoyed. I did have a lot of stuff and there wasn’t baggers either but I was like it’s okay I can do it myself but instead of he helping me he just trows my bread so hard and all my other items. And he just laughs and says like sorry I can’t help you but I was like it’s okay. Anyway I am just upset that he didn’t give me my whole receipt he only give me half of it. So I need someone to contact me so I can get my whole receipt. Thank you

Decent newly added selections. Not a bad area. Sometimes the kosher food is fun. I wish they had a business center still and a couple staff members have been very rude to me. One guy working the self checkout insisted he see my receipt implying my baby was stealing a balloon (as he was holding it cause we bought it for him). He studied it for a few minutes and said it’s ok he wanted to make sure we did pay for the balloon the baby was holding. It was insulting. Some workers are nice though.

Great place for grocery shopping in the Austin area! Easily seen from nearby roads, like Far West. I’ve never had an issue with parking there when I have come to this location. As with most H-E-B, the inside is different, but there’s often a similar-ish type set up to find different things one is shopping for. Has an easy to navigate layout, and staff are quite friendly if one has a question.

Hello! I have lived in Austin 37 years. I've shopped at almost all the area HEBs. This Far West location is my favorite. All the employees are super courteous. I especially wish to thank Terrell, who helped me with scooters after a surgery, and Richard in the meat market, who is a rock star! Thanks to everyone here.

HEB is the best grocery store in the country! Okay, I'm a bit biased growing up in Texas, but the truly have their act together as a grocery chain. People love working for the family as well. Central Market (also HEB) is a culinary experience unto itself. This was voted best grocery store on Consumer Reports last year and is is well deserved. The best produce and meats at all their stores, but especially Central Market. There is literally no better place to shop in the state of Texas. I highly recommend.all of their stores.

I have always loved going to this HEB, but I especially loved it today when I was helped by Maurice. I locked myself out of my car and he was so helpful, making sure I was able to get it worked out. I appreciate him going the extra length to help me. And I am thankful for his Naval service. Happy 4th!

EDIT #3: They've upgraded their freezer section, new organization, new row. I find it much cleaner and the products less crowded. Great improvement! EDIT #2: Post major weather event of 2021, this location has done a great job getting their shelves restocked. Only area showing some scarcity was the dairy department with milk. If you are game for almond or oat milk, you're good. But regular milk was scarce. Photos other than quiche are from this visit. EDIT #1: As noted, they don't always have advertised products. But lately it's been absurd! I've been trying for WEEKS to purchase a Meal Simple Apple and Grain product. I've done curbside and it will be in stock when I order, but unavailable when they shop. When I use shopping services, they never find it. When I go, AM or PM, if the app says it's there, it's not. And right now they have quiches in their place (see photo). And there is a sale, so I would think they would prepare more considering the attraction due to the sale offer. Also right now cherry turnovers are on sale, but shopping services find them missing and I can't find them in the morning or at noon. This is crazy frustrating! 😠 But there are plenty of apple turnovers in their place. ORIGINAL REVIEW It is always clean and products are always fresh. Employees have always been willing to assist me when I have had a question. The parking lot is also extremely well-lit. The only reason I cannot give the store 5 stars is that it does not always have all the products that are advertised in the weekly ad.
