update: doing windows for people, I come in here often for glass when I don't have glass for my they are always kind and prompt whenever I come in and ask for a piece they have many different stock sizes that you can get, or you can ask them to cut a specific size. I've gone into the store many times needing a specific bolt or a specific nut to go on a boat and not only do they always have what I need they always have someone on that aisle ready and willing to help you go through the seemingly millions of different bolts and threads and types of heads on them and they are always smiling as they are happy to help a person like me who's frustrated, that I just need a single stinking boat to match the same threads and the same head that I and while I see an aisle that looks like an ocean of random nuts and bolts, these employees almost always know exactly where to go and where to look at first. and if they don't find it right away they will spend 30 minutes there with you looking for it. But I've never walked out of there without the bolt that I actually needed. I really can't say enough nice things about Bay city's Ace hardware!.... The staff greeted me as i walked in, not being familiar with the store, people were very helpful pointing me to what i needed to find. Plus i saw some housewares in there i never would have dreamed they would sell. Like cupcake pans and jarring and stuff. Plus alot of the Milwaukee brand powertools, that i use, are cheaper here than at home depot or lowes. Will be back in often.

Ace is just an awesome place! Yes, they aren’t the cheapest, but I will gladly pay a premium to keep their doors open! Super helpful and friendly staff, and if Ace doesn’t have it, YOU DON’T WANT IT!

Bought propane and a couple other needed items. The staff member was training a new employee on propane filling. She was doing an outstanding job instructing the new employee. Very professional!!
