We’ve been coming here for awhile because this is the closest vet from us, and usually the veterinarians are awesome! But the rest of the staff? Not so much. There was this one girl in particular, younger, wears glasses, long hair, and she was awful to me and my mom. She gave us attitude when we asked questions, and acted like she did not want to be there or want to help. I’m disappointed. I love this place but it’s very unwelcoming, you would think the younger staff would be lovely, but she had the nastiest attitude I’ve ever seen. I do not like her and will not be coming if that’s how she and the staff will be towards us. Again, I’m disappointed and it really ruined our day. Also, they OVERCHARGE. They charged us for tests and work that we DID NOT ask for, and charged us for it, and didn’t even INFORM US. I honestly want my money back because what kinda service is this? Honestly this place has gone down hill over the years. I just hope they don’t abuse my poor dog when we leave him alone with these people.

I wish I could give zero stars. This place should be reported and shut down. The staff are absolute trash and the way they treat the animals and customers is appalling. This place is NOT a representation of a normal Banfield. Go to the Petsmart location in Mesquite or the one on Gaston for care for your pets. This location is an actual nightmare.

This location was a mess from the moment I set my appointment. I received several phone calls for confirming my appointment, one which was incorrectly an appointment I had already called to reschedule. The woman on the phone was short with me and rude when her records didn't immediately reveal that I had indeed rescheduled my appointment a day prior. My name was spelled incorrectly so many times that I never ended up getting the email paperwork even though I spelled it out letter by letter on the phone for the assistant, and again at the counter where it was STILL spelled wrong. When the Vet came out I was given very little information before they took her where I couldn't follow. I was informed of the testing they could provide, that it would take 20 minutes, and I agreed. 30 min after I'd already been waiting she comes out to let me know they can't do the testing until they have proof of a vaccine. I've been to Banfield several times and have never had them require this. I spent time looking for her records and then asked if they could possibly pull up her history with Banfield. The same attendant that was rude on the phone was rude and short with me at the desk. Another attendant took over and found my account, but was dismissive with the records and unclear with me as to why this vaccine (that she has already had) was now required for moving forward except that it was the rules. At this point my pet has been alone in their rooms for an hour. I've had almost zero clear/timely information from anyone. We wasted an hour of our time and I'm nervous to think of the type of care my pet might have received once they put hands on her. Glad we left.

Please do not take you’re dogs here ! They got me on a plan for my dog that I spent 1k plus on and in the end i ended up finding out that my dog never needed the surgery I had already paid for ! Because the doctors were continuously telling me different things !!! I never knew what my dog ACTUALLY had , I also have suspicion they were sedating my 5 pound elderly chihuahua without my consent ! Please don’t come here ! Not to mention the front desk receptionists always have attitudes and do not make you feel welcomed or secure leaving you’re babies in their care !

All I have to say is I’m very happy with them, every time I have went there they have been very kind. My dog gets scared around new people (even though as a pup I introduced her to people) but they were very gentle and sweet with her. This past week I have been a PAIN IN THE BUTT and they have been very patient and tried to help me with many things, I really am glad I feel comfortable taking my pet to them because that’s my baby. One thing I do think they should work on is consult you first on EVERYTHING they wanna do but other than that I am very happy with there service and will stay with them for a very long time.

We brought our pet here in Sept 2020 , needed eat check and they said he was due for some vac’s. Today we took to a different Banfield because we moved and was told to pay an extra fee because his heart worm was due in Oct and wasn’t given to him. This location in mesquite did not inform us, that our dog was due for heart worm medicine and is on a 6month oral plan. We had to pay out of pocket for a blood test, because this location does not care about your animal or they would have addressed this. The lady I called today, the lady I spoke with didn’t seem to care why they did not offer .

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I set up an appointment for my dog and needed advice on what to do. The lady who answered was the worst. She had a huge attitude and was just out right rude. They harassed my phone while I’m at work trying to get information. I had tons of calls and voicemails within 30 minutes while I’m at my Job. Never will I got the this place.

I like the people and vets alot, but there is quite a bit of miscommunication and the prices are pretty hefty. Going to have to use Texas Coalition for Animal Protection for dentistry and vax clinics.

Prices are high and no proof of what they did. can not get management to call back. They were 276. Higher than the 24 HR emergency vet that my sister's kitten two days prior and 250. Higher to have cat spayed which was about 125. At a different vet that was not seeing new patients and that did not include the medication that was needed I believe this vet is overpriced and no way to prove that the work was actually done since you cannot go into the room... I do not recommend!!
