I hate giving negative reviews. Check my review history. However, Banfield used to be a totally adequate clinic and now they're just abysmal. Every location I've been to in San Antonio or Austin has constant staff attrition, is short-staffed, and comically absurd wait times on the phone, often times just to have the call drop. I'm done. I'm dropping my pet's health plan because I'd rather pay the going rates at an independent clinic where I will actually get service for my money.

Save yourself frustration. Find another vet. Have made appointments only to be told I didn't have one when I showed up ( have original emails from Banfield showing the appointment scheduled). Vet keeps trying to push unneeded procedures (kept trying to push $500 ultrasound when pet just had one 7 months ago and showed nothing). And just try to get them to pick up a phone to talk to them, either don't answer or immediately put you on hold and don't pick up. TERRIBLE vets. Please be good to yourself and your pet and go somewhere else.

Banfield has been caring for my dogs for 23 years..Banfield on Brodie has the best Vet's..My dogs are on the wellness plan..I save a ton of money. Dr. Lee is my vet. She is so caring. She loves my dogs.

Great place to take pet for care. Very caring and professional staff. Our dog had bite on the back of his neck and they took great care of him quickly

Just done with Banfield in general. I have a bulldog I always ask for him to be taken in with a harness. They do, but when I go to pick him up there’s a collar on his neck and he’s visibly having trouble breathing. I let the lady up front know I was very upset this last time because it has happened time and time again. Also tired of never being able to reach anyone on the phone, always asked if I can be put on hold… wait 20 minutes… goes to voicemail… voicemail is full… have to repeat the process. If you’re just wanting a cheap service for someone to give your pet shots and come in and not pay a fee this is for you. If you’d like a more personal experience and be able to join your pet in the exam room look up another vet. There’s plenty in the Austin area that are waiting to treat you like family. *(Response) Naaaa. Not interested. This isn’t the first banfield we’ve been too with bad service.

We have been bringing my pets to this hospital for 10+ years since they’re on the wellness plan. Over the last few years, the service has gone downhill. The staff does not communicate with each other and most of the time does not know what’s going on. We have scheduled appointments only to find out the day of that it was never schedule or schedule on a different day and time. You have to call multiple times, be put on hold multiple times, and then get hung up on requiring for you to call back again. Sometime the phone keeps ringing and you have to leave a voicemail and no one calls you back. This week, we have been trying to find out if my older dog needs to continue his eye drops since some tests were done a week or two ago (we were told that we would get a phone call regarding the result which never happened). My boyfriend asked them to call back his number since I wasn’t available to answer. Well instead of calling him I received the phone call and voice mail from the doctor stating that my dog needs to use the eye drop for life which we have been out for two weeks. We called back the next day asking for a refill and the staff had no idea what drops we are talking about and kept mentioning an ointment that they didn’t know what was used for. Well today is day three of calling for an eye drop and still was told that there wasn’t any refill. I’m waiting for the doctor to call me back. I am really considering taking my pets somewhere else. I’m a nurse and the way things are run here is unacceptable. I am trying to be understanding that we are understaff everywhere relating to medical but come on guys it for an eye drop. We literally spent 3 days out of this week trying to get a refill.

This is why I don't use Banfield Brodie Lane this is why I go to the South Park Meadows location. my vet called me, who I really like... Dr Lee but they do not answer the phone ... they don't pick up and when you try and call back you can't leave a voice message because the message mailbox is full. I'm worried about my pets the doctor she's asking me to call back... and you cannot reach anybody. I'm really ticked off. do not go here go to the one at South Park Meadows or another location

**I had already reached out to the email address provided below and am waiting for a response. The "service" at this location is absolutely unacceptable. Banfields are really hit or miss in my opinion, I've been to some great locations but this one is a big fat MISS. Strongly recommend you avoid this hospital at all costs. You will somehow end up regretting trusting them with caring for your pet. I can recommend Oliver Animal Hospital (in the same area), whose staff have been competent, polite, responsive, and proactive -- a breath of fresh air coming from Banfield.

Gave it one star only because I could not leave no stars. I brought my dog in to be euthanized due to her injuries and they told me they were too busy and I would have to come back later and make an appointment or go somewhere else. I explain to her that she could not wait and she said they were just too busy. I have been on Banfield wellness plan with my items for quite some time. I will not use Banfield again

I can not say ENOUGH for Banfield Brodie. My pug is terrified of the vet but the vet techs and doctors there have been so persistent in winning them over - and they have! Especially thanks to Candice and Dr Pocernich. My pug has seizures and they have been so detailed and helpful with helping him get medicated. They also performed bladder stone surgery and everything went perfectly. We take our whole pet family there because we love their care and attention to detail and persistence in working with my pugs. I love them so much!! Thank you Banfield Brodie!
