I’m not the kind of person that leaves reviews. I feel the need to go ahead and leave the most positive review possible for STARPOWER. From beginning to end they were communicative about what to expect, and everything went according to plan. They estimated the labor precisely, and the installation team, Tony and Jose, were friendly and thorough in explaining how everything works (we even had a last minute adjustment, that I called for, and needed an electrician; they set up the appointment and timed it to minimize the labor hours), while also being patient with my toddlers constantly interrupting their work. Sean, at the Southlake location, seemed to read my mind in what I was envisioning for my living room and media room, and put a great plan together. Thank you all for everything!

I implore anyone considering giving this company their business to please reconsider and explore the many, many alternatives. I have a 30+ year history of having home theaters installed in my homes. I’ve used big and small companies, different brands, and this was by far the very worst experience I have ever had with any business. It’s 2020. You can order everything that they do online, have it set up correctly and permanently in less than half the time, and never have to worry about things breaking. It is nothing short of a miracle that this place is still in business. You are 100% better off going to a big box store for both purchase and installation. You’ll get better service, save $1,000s, save hours of anger and disappointment, and no one at Best Buy is going to talk down to you in a condescending tone, and make you feel “cheap” for not wanting to spend $500 on a warranty you don’t need, or $4,000 on a TV that is actually used (but sold as new), and is also half the price elsewhere. They sell the warranties so hard because they know they’re selling faulty goods. PLEASE, FOR YOUR OWN SAKE, TRUST ME. ANY POSITIVE REVIEW OF THIS BUSINESS IS FROM A CLOSE FRIEND OF THIS CORRUPT FAMILY. GOOGLE THEM. READ THE REVIEWS FROM FORMER EMPLOYEES ON GLASSDOOR. IT. IS. A. SCAM. They make their money by fixing things that they screwed up in the first place, and selling warranties you shouldn’t need, if the products they sold were actually new. The company is run by entitled children who have never worked for anything, and had their entire lives handed to them by their parents and grandparents. If you enjoy being scammed, sold used goods as new, having those products routinely break, and then paying $200 per visit to have them routinely temporarily “fixed”, then Starpower is the right choice for you!

I contracted with Starpower to design an AV system for my new home. After hours of meetings discussing the requirements, existing equipment that they needed to incorporate, etc., they made and I accepted a three-stage proposal. During the second phase, they ran into a problem with their Total Control-based control system (the one they selected and sold me for the job) not being able to integrate properly with my Kaleidescape system (Starpower is an authorized Total Control and Kaleidescape dealer so they should understand what is required to Kaleidescape integration). I paid them for the labor on the second phase after they promised to resolve the issue for free. After phase 3, the issue was still open so I refused to pay the phase 3 labor charges until the issue was resolved--that was last August. After touching base with the sales person a couple of times in the 5+ months since then, they seem to have given up on resolving my problem and are now sending me a bill for the phase 3 labor with no resolution for my issues and with a system that does not meet the requirements originally discussed (control over music in my game room). Basically, they have left me with a partially functional system and now are trying to wash their hands of the issue (and me as their customer). Their sales person and accounts receivable department are not returning my calls. Be careful about choosing Starpower as your integrator, they do not accept responsibility for what they sell, promise, or deliver.

This place has the TV’s and Home Theater equipment we all wish we had. I set up my Media Room with a projector, stereo, and speakers from here and it is awesome. The staff here is very helpful and knowledgeable. Everything you need to automate your home is also here. When you’re ready to upgrade you need to check this place out.

If you're interested in home theater ideas, this is the place to go. They don't just have tvs, projectors, and stereo equipment, they offer installation as well. Staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. The vendors were even there for some of the products which I thought was great to get first hand knowledge of their products.
