This was absolutely the worst car rental experience EVER! It started when the reservation I had made for pickup late in the day was changed to 12:30 without notification. I knew I would not be able to return the car until late in the afternoon three days later. It is impossible to call the local franchise so I drove there to see if I could adjust the pickup time. I was told I could not change the reservation because there would be no cars available. The lack of logic defies me! What about the car I would be picking up only 4 hours later? The young man at the counter told me that I could take the car then and that he would make a note that I would not be charged for the extra day if I had it back before 5:00 pm. We agreed to this and signed the paperwork. He said take the car full and return it full. When I got in the car there was less than 1/4 tank of gas. Redo the paperwork and take a different car. Upon return, a different person was at the desk. I was informed that because I was returning 3 hours after 12:30 there would be an additional charge for an extra day. I informed him that the person checking out the car had made a different commitment. A telephone call was made and the person who checked the car out denied having made an agreement. I continued to protest. I was told that they would issue a one time credit for the extra day. I was given the receipt for the originally agreed upon amount. I made a comment that it was a lot of work to get them to honor the agreement they had made. At which time he said that he would not honor the commitment he had made and would charge me for the extra day. The extra charge did show on my credit card. It was then necessary to dispute the charge with my credit card company. If you rent a car from the Bluff Street Hertz franchise, rest assured you will not find honesty, integrity or good customer service. Read the reviews on this place. I'm not alone in how I was treated.

I would give them 0 stars. Worst customer service I have ever received from a car rental company. Called the 1-800 number to extend my car rental since my car is being fixed from a vandalism and they said I had to take it to a local hertz to get it inspected in order to extend my contract. I took it here to get it inspected and the employee stated he is not able to extend it and I have to drive it to vegas. I called the 1-800 number again stated my complaints and the employee put something in the notes and took it to the airport hertz and he was able to extend my contract. Hertz needs to find employees that care about customer service.

Our experience was frustrating. They gave us a compact suv when we paid for a midsize suv. When we called hertz to try to switch out cars or even get a discount, they weren’t accommodating. When we returned the car, they waived the “cleaning fee.” Since when did we have to clean the car before returning the car?!?! Also, the car was not dirty… just some crumbs and dirt that could have easily been vacuumed. No stains or anything. This place gets a 1 star from me.

The guy at the counter was completly ignorant to the rental process! He was rude and completly worthless! Nothing was accomplished by him.... I was hit by another vehicle so the other insurance was responsible... Although for anything to be accomplishedi did every bit of it!! He was too busy on his cell phone to concern himselfwith the actual policies of the company or the protocol of a dam thing!! I ADVISE GOING ELSEWHERE!! THIS PLACE IS A HUGE JOKE!! The whole processes of renting a car took over 3 hours!! Not acceptable at all!! BEWARE! Then on top of it the jerk tried to convince my grandma she couldn't eat or drink in the rental.. I understand smoking in it... But bro get a clue!! People are going to eat and drink in a car!! Your job is to worry About dents and scratches not spilled drinks or dropped food!!! He was obviously more concerned with looking out for his future workrequirements instead of helping others with a vehicle!! I'm telling you this place was a joke! I DO NOT RECOMMEND WHATSOEVER!!

Absolute joke. No wonder hertz filed bankruptcy. Their agents have no clue how to communicate with people and this place specifically was completely unhelpful and rude. Hertz needs to die out and let actual good rental car companies do what they do best.

This is a five star location and one of the best local editions in the country. Jonathan and Shelly do an outstanding job and go above and beyond for their clients. They are friendly, courteous, and always do their best to accommodate the needs of their customers. The cars are always clean, and the rental process is smooth and easy. I travel regularly and I can say without hesitation this location is one of the best and the location is unbeatable. The customer service I’ve experienced has always been top notch. I would give this location and Jonathan and Shelly a 10 out of 10 if it was an option

We arrived at the car rental place after an auto accident caused us to be without our own vehicle, the other driver's insurance company made the arrangements since he was at fault. Although they had been informed that we were arriving to pickup the rental car, we were informed that they only had one vehicle available and it would be an additional $5.00 a day charge that would be our responsibility to cover the cost of. We had already missed more than enough work time from the accident we had little choice but to take what was offered. After a few minutes of explaining the situation to the representative he opted to give us a lower rate on the vehicle and it turned out to be a good experience. Thanks and appreciation for taking the time to listen and understand our situation .

I picked up the car one day and returned it the next. When I checked it out at 4:20 pm, I asked what if I am a little late getting it back? He said to get it back before 5 pm and all is good, after that and I would have to be charged more. No problem. So I pull in at 4:50 the next day (HE was not there) and the LADY checking me out charges me for an extra half day. So I ask what's this about? She said that's what happens when you are late. I said the guy I spoke with at the same location the day before, told me to get it back before 5 pm and all would be good. Without batting an eye she says there is a 20 min grace period, after that it's a half day extra. I explain that the guy the day told me to get it back by 5 and she continues to berate me like it's my fault. I don't know if the problem is with him or her, but they ARE NOT on the same page, giving out conflicting info. The only reason they got 2 stars and not 1 was because after a lot of back and forth, she did charge me for the one day like he said they would. And she made it very clear who was a fault and said what would happen next time, well that is something that neither one of us will have to worry about, because there will not be a next time. Oh, and the car stunk inside.

Terrible customer service but nice car. Check out my profile. I usually give positive reviews. This was literally the worst customer experience I ever had. It’s unfortunate because I will probably never rent from Hertz again. The fact that the stand behind the operators here is beyond me. Please go somewhere else.

I rented from another location and they did not record the smoke smell in the vehicle after I alerted them to the issue. I had the car for less than 24 hours and do not smoke. When I returned to the St George location, Johnathan said that he would be placing a charge on my card for the smell. I explained to him what the other location said and he refused to work with me on a resolution. I asked if he could call the other location now (we were the only customers at the time), he refused. I asked if he could call customer service or provide a more direct line so that I did not have to wait on hold in the parking lot. He would not. I asked if he could provide a direct line to the other location, he said he could not. I had recorded other small things about the car but could not record the smell. He refused to believe that we were honest customers, but worse was that he would not work with us in the moment prove so and resolve the issue. I could not believe his blatant refusal to work with customers who were willing to work with him. I wish I had done my research as it is clear to me why this location is rated so poorly and that Jonathan has been mentioned multiple times.
