Please 🙏 please do yourself a favor and heed the warnings from others on here. I thought this was a case of people complaining just because of a one-time bad experience. I WAS WRONG!!! Just moved to the area recently and this pharmacy is sooo close to my house. I have given these guys two months to get their act together, but they just can't seem to. Every single time I need a fill or a new prescription, for myself, my two year old son (who is in kidney failure, by the way) or my cats----- these guys don't fill it. Either they tell me they didn't get the new prescription, they didn't get my refill request, or it "will be ready in 45 minutes" after I've waited four days. If your provider sends a prescription here... they won't fill it for at LEAST several days. Unless you show up in person (because they never EVER have answered the phone; not once) and ask them to fill it. If you call in a refill, they won't fill it until you show up in person to pick it up. And then, guaranteed, they'll "still be working on it" and you'll have to come back in a couple hours. Please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I will be.

Stay clear away. I scheduled a flu shot for 5pm and did not get to check in until 520p due to the line. Also, the person who checking me in asked if I was getting the Pfizer vaccine whereby I had to remind him I was there for only the flu shot. They had to check me out first prior to the administering the shot, for some reason my birthdate wasn’t matching up when I typed it in the machine. The blond older lady was assisting me, had a vile in the basket already to give to the pharmacist, and asked for me to repeat my birthday to her 3 times while she tried to enter it manually in the system. For whatever reason, she walks away and the man who checked me in comes back and asked for my insurance card. I proceed to inform him that I already entered my insurance info when I scheduled the appointment. He comes back with the older blond after he takes my insurance card, and the lady and tells me that my insurance is denying payment for my flu shot and that they couldn’t service me. I repeatedly stated that’s impossible and that there must be something else wrong as I am familiar with my insurance and I’ve used Bartels for the past 7 years - but he and the blond lady continued to tell me some insurance companies don’t pay for it and that they ran it twice already and it came back denied. After being there now for over an hour, and with my 3 year old, I left. While I was gone I called another Bartells to ask that they run my insurance info to confirm what was going on. The other Bartels confirmed that the Bartels on 4th mistakenly entered my name as the primary insurer - when it’s my husband who was and that’s why it didn’t go through. When that man asked for my insurance card, my husbands name was clearly on there, if he was reading it or even looked at it he would recognize that. Thereafter, I called Bartels on 4th, and after 10 times of calling over and over someone finally answered. I explained the circumstances and the person who answered the phone confirmed my insurance was in fact approved and that I can come back in that night to get my flu shot. There was no apology at the time, more so I was actually rushed to hurry and come in as they are closing soon. When I came back and told the pharmacist what occurred, I was met with no sympathy and barely a sorry. She explained there has been some training issues and as a result these mistakes have occurred. I explained to her that the staff that assisted me had been there for some time. Further, I explained to her that it was disappointing how I was treated and basically dismissed by the staff, they didn’t even consider for a minute it was their mistake. She said she will talk to the staff and said there is nothing else they can do. In Reading the reviews from others, it appears I’m not an isolated incident. The staff appears to be constantly making mistakes, but also are not apologetic nor have any empathy to frustrated customers.. Some industry, like this one, simply cannot afford to have the oversights that it has. We understand that staffing is an issue now a days but it appears so is empathy and customer service. We are changing our pharmacy.

Worst place ever. Should not be in business! Used to be decent but not in last year or two. Be expected to wait over an hour in line just to be told that your prescription will another 1 to 1.5 hours before it’s ready. How do you treat people this way?!!!

WARNING do not use this pharmacy!!! This pharmacy has really gone downhill in the last year or two. I had a really frustrating experience this morning, but it’s not an isolated occurrence. They never got my prescription my doctor sent over about a month ago, so my doctor resent it this morning. I went to go pick it up and was told it be ready in about an hour. I came back in an hour and a different lady told me would be another 45 minutes. I drove away and then got a text five minutes later that my prescription was ready. I turned my car back around to go pick it up and had to wait in line another 10 minutes. The same lady who had told me it was going to be another for 45 minutes appears to have zero sympathy for customers. She doesn’t even look at you in the eye and just says “I apologize” with a blank face. The least they could do is sympathize and try to make right. Gas is expensive these days and my time is certainly very valuable. I’ll be transferring all my prescriptions.

The pharmacy has horrible service. I feel like they wait until you actually show up to the store before they process the prescription and then they tell you it won’t be ready for at least two hours. Also going through the drive-through is a complete and utter joke I’ve waited there for over an hour and was only third car in line. truly hoping it’s just a staff shortage thing or I may have to look for a new pharmacy. Had to give it a star to post.

I am not kidding, every time I come. My prescriptions ( which are on auto refill) are not ready or you cannot get help at either the drive thru or counter. This has got to be the worst service place I have ever been to. I am finally fed up. I don't care if it's only 3 blocks from my house, it's just not worth coming. Quicker to drive somewhere else. The worst.

This pharmacy has really gone downhill since new ownership. About a year ago I wanted to quit smoking, so got chantix. After months of telling me it was ready, only to find when I got to the store that they still had to order it, I gave up. Decided to try again today (new prescription), I confirmed with the lady that she had all of the medications, she said, “yes, will be ready in an hour”. I went back after three hours, she said they have been slammed and all medications would be ready in 30 minutes. Went back two hours later to find they “had to order the chantix”…. Then, I noticed the bill for my antibiotic was high. I asked if they still had me with premera, the gentleman said, “no, that is not what we have for you” he gave the name of another insurance company and said they must be working together!!!!!! Our family is switching!!

Was seen in the ER and given several prescriptions. Somehow on one there was an error on the quantity of pills written and given. Pharmacy didn’t even bother to call the hospital to clarify correct information. I found the mistake on my own and when I contacted pharmacy they tried to tell me “the doctor probably meant to say take the medication for 5 days not 10!” I work in healthcare so I know that when any discrepancy in RX providers office needs to verify info and instructions and quantity should be matched. I was told that the pharmacist would contact the provider and I would get a call back. This was 8+ hours ago and still no call back. I’m in excruciating pain from severely herniated disk and my muscle relaxers are finished since I was given 15 instead of 30 which my prescription was written for.

My wife called in her prescription the night BEFORE and the morning of to have her prescription filled. She was told her medication would be ready in 1 hour. We went to pick up her prescription 5 1/2 hours later and had to wait 40 minutes!! This is ANOTHER BUSINESS USING COVID 19 AS AN EXCUSE to treat its customers poorly. This pandemic is NOT an excuse. It is horrible and tragic and these local businesses need to be more accountable. I STRONGLY ADVISE USING WALGREENS. They have remained professional and we will not be using Bartell pharmacy in the future.

I have gone to this pharmacy for years to get my insulin prescriptions filled and have had no complaints until recently. You can order the refill online, call over the phone (no one will answer or respond to voicemail), or go in person and they'll tell you they'll have it ready in a day or two but nothing ever happens, as if the refill request was never submitted. Avoid using this pharmacy if you value your life.
