So good to visit with Mike again after so long. Great beers as always! He was the only place in town I could find a specific beer besides the brewery.

Great beer selection. No Ball Wash is served per the owner's wishes and his brash handling of customers is one of the things they come in Roman's Pub for.

Loved the atmosphere. The drinks were top notch. Great place to have a good drink and conversation. The bartender was a lot of fun!

A smaller but better beer bar in bay view. Dedicated to top shelf American brews. Many barrel aged brews available if you like that sort of thing (I do) . You won't find Miller lite, or even spotted cow there- he even has a board that says"no spotted cow, not now, not ever". Your dreams of finding any swill beer there would be crushed.

Not what it once was. The owner does not seem to care as much as before. If you want to be a beer snob, back it. Mike brought too much attitude, with too little beer to back it this time. When asked "do you have anything special, anything you recommend?" and the answer was "they are ALL special" should have been my first clue. Most beers I had were local beer store quality at best.

Had some beers here. Nice selection and the bartender/owner was happy give me some options in my requested types. Don't go here to pound Coors Light or drink energy drink shots. Know the difference between an ale, a porter, a stout. a pils, etc. and you will have a good time here. You wouldn't go to a steakhouse for a hotdog, so don't go to a highly regarded craft beer pub to drink "ball wash" (as Mike calls it) or to behave like a drunken college kid. Met some nice friendly folks here, too.

Great beer and excellent service unless you're looking for someone to hold your hand over selecting from the extensive and well-chosen beer menu. If you're a grown-up beer aficionado you'll appreciate this pub and its owner who has no patience for idiots. Or keep going north on KK, you'll find plenty of hipster bars that may be more suited to your needs.
