I rented a 26’ box truck online from budget (despite my last truck from them leaving me stranded on the side of I40 and despite lying for roadside assistance them telling me “sorry, you’re too far from any mechanics). Anywhoo… yesterday I go to the lot I’m set to pickup the truck from on the 18th. Nobody is working there which is curious and more perplexing I don’t see a 26’ truck there. I call their phone number and nobody answers (the reason I came in person was an inability to get them on the phone for days). I call the 800 number and I’m told that they don’t have a truck for me but “my reservation is still good”. I explain that those are contradictory statements and ask what can be done. They said my case was elevated, an inventory manager would call me with an update in no more than 2 hours, and that they would work to bring in a truck for me. I sit here today after just hanging up with another call (that I initiated) to customer service… a full 24 hours later and I still haven’t heard from their inventory manager. If I’m being honest, I don’t think they’re going to make their 2 hour call back Window from yesterday unless they find a wormhole or Mr. peabody’s way back machine. So… moral of the story is never again with budget. I did however have a great experience with one of their competitors who’s name rhymes with sch-menske getting me a short notice reservation for the same truck. You’ve been warned not to use these guys… caveat emptor.

The day of our rental of a budget truck was a disaster!! It was cancelled the night before by Zinc, LLC chandler, AZ ( how about a phone call) The Customer service rep said," they don't have your truck" . Frantically, re booking the night before the move to get same price (not). Showed availability at Alto auto. We go the next morning to only find out the truck they have can't be rented, mechanical issues. Stuck on the Am of moving day, Tom came to our rescue. Sent us over to Scottsdale budget ( very professional and helpful) oh, they had a working truck. So, this is to really say the site personnel and owners were very helpful. Phone reps guarantee $99.00 rate, we will see. the Technical booking is really outdated, obviously can't keep up with inventory. They are renting trucks they don't have in inventory , and have mechanical issues. This isn't the sites issues. This is corporate issue!. You need to help your budget sites more and be on top of things. How about visiting your facilities!! Alto auto (Tom) and Joost Ent, thank you for your help. Not so sure we will rent again with budget, to stressful. Final note, check your truck rental day before and call the actual site.

A good experience overall! Don't expect VIP service for a budget company and you won't be disappointed. Expect budget service and a budget truck, and everything will work out great. A little confusion with the drop off location due to no one being there during the hours it's supposed to be open, but the key drop and return was successful.

Tom is the man. Went above and beyond to make our experience amazing. Worth going to this location just to work with this guy. He will get you everything you need and bend over backwards to make it happen.

This is a reliable location to rent a truck.The service here is fast and I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes. The trucks We’ve rented have been clean and well maintained every time. Thank you Tom for your amazing service over the past decade!

This reservation was the worst truck rental experience I have had 1st the Dolly to pull my vehicle was not compatible at all it almost ripped off my bumper. The car is in its factory state So the budget website needs to be updated so that other people who also own Nissan Altimas do not have to go through the same problem, because we didnt need to leave until Saturday night we didnt attempt to place the Nissan in the car dolly. When we called to swap the dolly for a carrier or at the very least to return it we were told someone would reach out to us within 15 mins to 2 hours, which never happened, we were unable to leave Dallas until Monday after the original dealer opened., I want to add that we would have loved to just dropped off the carrier so we didnt have to bring it with us to Arizona but we were told we couldnt take it to another budget dealership either. Now as if that was not a hassle enough The actual moving truck had an issue with the driver's side mirror once it was driven on the freeway the mirror would close into the car we didnt realized this until we had pack all of our belongings in the truck And the resolution given by the budget truck rental was to put duct tape on the mirror to keep it from closing into the door, their resolution did not work, and it was extremely dangerous I had to keep rolling down the window and push the mirror outwards everytime I needed to move lanes for the entire 19 hour drive. Once we arrived in Phoenix the drop off location had a phone number that belonged to a man who does not work for budget and the additional number was never answered the drop off location was extremely far 45 mins from the location we were at and when you Google the location it's a junk yard not a budget dealership and when I googled the name of the business it gave us an entirely different address since we never had a correct number or any answers from the place we were to drop off we didnt want to drive an additional 45 mins and waste another 50 dollars in gas finally a young woman named Paola from customer service was able to arrange for me to drop off the vehicle at a location that was still open however this morning I see not only that the car dolly was not refunded but that I was charged an additional $119.80,in addition the dolley to carry our Appliances had straps that were too short and we were unable to use it over all it had been a very unpleasant experiance

When I first got there I had to wait about 10 mins before anyone showed up but once Tom got there it went great! Very happy to rent from Tom, he’s a super nice guy and has a lot of knowledge with Budget.

I asked for a customer service number because I wanted to report misuse of their trucks (this incident had NOTHING TO DO with ANY of their employees, just the vehicles) and some idiot working on Saturday Oct. 5, 2013 around 3:40-3:50pm answered the phone as Allen (I doubt that was his real name because he hung up on me the first time I called) and proceeded to give me the number to a sex telephone line instead of the customer service line I asked for. Absolutely disgusting. If I could give them negative 10 stars I would.
