This was the worst experience for a move from the beginning. To start, pod was not dropped off when scheduled. (How is that okay??) We were doing a military move that could not be flexible. Then they CHANGED the pick up date because of a “holiday” but allowed us to schedule it for that day in the first place? Seriously so unprofessional. The worst part of this experience has been getting the weight tickets that we PAID a lot of money for, because of a military move for reimbursement purposes. The pod was delivered WAY later than the “10 business days” we were told, and we have literally had to call 6 times already and have been told something different EVERY time we call. Why do we need to fight so hard for something we paid for? I highly recommend NOT using this company because everything they say is absolute garbage and I can’t wait for this to be over. Go literally anywhere else.

Miserable excuse for a company. Horrible communication and not dependable. Paid for weight tickets for a military move and am currently moving heaven and earth to try to get them. Unit arrived over a week late. They almost accidentally sent a second unit to my old house days after we left. Inconsistent answers when you call. Long wait times upwards of 2 hours. DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY.

This was literally one of the worst experiences we've had with any moving company. When I called for a quote and to set up dates and times, the person that took the order messed up the pickup day for the next morning after the pack rat was dropped off. Then I stated we needed to be able to fit a three bedroom two bath house. We could literally fit half our house in with a brought us for almost $7,000. The customer service is spotty. When they make mistakes, they cannot correct them nor accommodate their customers. We notified the corporate office with no response. My advice go with pods!

To make a long, miserable story short, packrat is not a good option. I used them to move out of state. The driver that delivered the container I used informed me he had a hard time driving the truck and did not fully know how to get the container off. The container is not a sealed box like they state. There are multiple holes in the one I received. During the time of transit they misplaced my container and for weeks could not find it. When the time came for them to drop off the container at my new residence they canceled the delivery two days in a row without any communication. When I called in they pretty much said just deal with it. That's how they do things. Overall, I would highly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

I reserved a 16 foot container in may for a long distance move that was scheduled for today. I called and confirmed 10 days ago my pickup and drop off. I called this morning to get a estimate time. They tell me someone will call an hour before. I call again after 12 due to no call. The rep then tells me I won’t be receiving a call because there are no containers! When we’re they going to let me know! I’ve already paid 3500 and bought things I would not have if I new they would not be able to be shipped. How can you wait until the day of my preplanned move to tell me you don’t have the container. I need this full amount refunded in addition to the difference in cost for items I am now not able to bring with me to my new home.

I can not reach anyone and no one will tell me why my storage unit was not delivered today. My entire life is in a box under their care and they are charging me for every single day they need up. They charged me $1k more than the estimate they gave me and promised me a refund. I have yet to recertification that either. Long story short they pick up calls for new services and decline calls for existing customers. They will charge you for their mistakes and lie about the refund or even better they'll never ever pick up your call after they pick

HORIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! They were quick to take our money. Good at delivering. Cross country transport was slow but acceptable, but delivering they can care less. I scheduled weeks ago, but the day came for delivery and nothing. After complaining for several days we still don't have our stuff. I suppose only a court order will get our stuff delivered.

When PODS dropped the ball, Pack Rat helped me with immediate, same day service. The agent that helped me was so great. Set everything up and literally saved the day. The driver was also the best! Gave me his number to pick up a couple hours later. I am truly so impressed and happy with this service! Thank you so much!

We had a complicated move from a house in OR to an apartment in AZ and finally a house in AZ. So that meant multiple containers that went to different locations (smaller one went to apartment, then 6 months later the 16 ft went to the house). I changed dates multiple times because of issues with selling the house in OR. The OR driver even nestled our small container between a carport and a palm tree so it would be close to our townhouse gate. I was totally impressed. Then in AZ, we were in the apt looking for a house, so needed some things not everything. The 16 ft remained in storage. We were able to go to the PHX warehouse (drive inside where it was cool in August), consolidate what we didn't need in the apt into the 16 ft (because who packs perfectly the first time) and then go on our way. The 16 ft was delivered last week and picked up on time. The containers must be handled carefully because after 7 mos., our belongings were in perfect shape the way we packed them. No, they don’t move the stuff for you, but so what finding labor is easy. The price was reasonable, customer service was great - I couldn't be happier.

I would highly recommend not using this company. I can’t tell you everything that went bad. I will tell you we spent $10,000 for our move. We bought $20,000 in insurance for two containers. After waiting til after the scheduled day for our containers, we had furniture damaged and was told it wasn’t 1800packrats fault. It was the movers fault. Insurance means nothing. When your containers don’t show rest assured, you’re going to be on the phone for a day only to find your containers never left the state you were moving from. It’s really pretty sad when you spend $10,000 on a move you have to babysit every step of the way.
