When I showed up for my appointment Johnny was apparently unaware that I was even scheduled to come in. I waited for hours and never got an update on the status of my car. They were not busy and I spent almost 4 hours waiting for a simple coolant flush. They didn't even tell me my car was done either when it was ready. No apology for the inconvenience. Wasn't given an ETA on when it would be ready. Basically said it will be ready whenever we get to it. It was as if I didn't even make an appointment. UPDATE: Do NOT COME HERE. Pep boys said my vehicle was fine and there was no signs of overheating. My car kept overheating so I took it to Wilhelm mechanic right across the street. Wilhelm said my head gasket was blown. Pep boys on the other hand said everything was fine and did a horrible job. If your car is having any type of issues DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU LIKE THROWING MONEY AWAY.

This place was a complete waste of time and money. I set a appointment immediately after a 12 hour shift that wasnt even in the system! We got there and was told they didn't have the appointment and we'd have to wait. Our car was constantly overheating making me and my fiancé late for work and almost lost our jobs. After a brand new radiator, two water pumps, a thermostat later we seen they had a full package for the cooling system. It says clearly on the package that it gets flushed with new coolant and documented any signs of overheating and why it would be. A job that was supposed to be 30 mins top took FOUR HOURS LITERALLY FOUR HOURS we weren't even told it was done! I myself had to walk up and ask the status. That's when I was told it had been done!!! No communication at all. Not to mention the paper work showed nothing was wrong with the car they didn't mention anything concerning or alarming just pay up and get out we left thinking perfect maybe it was just airpockets. NOPE ! Sure enough the car started over heating again and completely went out on the freeway where we almost got hit by another car. Also they had lied to us they didn't clean the coolant or flush it our coolant was still dirty the hoses weren't even ever disconnected. This time we took it to some real mechanic's " Wilhelm " who confirmed it was a blown head gasket with documentation to prove it. Please don't waste your time or money on this place like we did.

My daughter had an appointment when she went in they told her they didn't stock diesel oil. They didn't even have the respect to call her I would not recommend them to anyone. If I could rate 0 that's what they would get.

I have been going to this pepboys for years. We always get good and honest service. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs auto repairs or maintenance.

I sent my wife in to get an estimate today. They were very fair reasonable and understanding of our situation and my wife was impressed that they treated her with respect and someone with sufficient knowledge as to what her problem was. I’ve had problems before with sending my wife and two other places and she was taken advantage of. You guys were awesome.

Johnny the Service Manager is very rude and does not listen to customers complains. I had a warranty on my battery and I just left my mechanic that charged it the day before telling me the battery is failing. Instead of allowing me to call and the mechanic tell him personally the steps he took he just said Pep Boys tested the battery its good and your not getting another battery. This is unacceptable and I worked for Pep Boys in the service department. Customers want to be reassured that the warranties and service given are respected no matter what state or location you go to. Johnny needs to go back to training classes or a refresher seminar.

I’ve been coming to this pep boys for a while, But I’ve seen they treat everybody With respect and they do a right wonderful job, I recommend anybody to sit here and come to the Pep Boys here in surprise. I started coming here when the manager Gianni moved here I used to see him in Peoria and I followed him because the truthfulness and the respect that he gave me.

Disappointing. They lied about what my car needed and cost was disproportionate so we declined serveral ‘serious’ services from inspection. When we got it home and my husband (previously an auto technician) checked brakes/rotors/etc none of the problems were what they said and they definitely didn’t need to be replaced. Johnnys customer service was perfect but that doesn’t change the overall experience. Rarely answer phone and then Brandon’s phone etiquette was horrible. Quoted one thing for brakes then told different number, they advised their labor hours were one price but when questioned about how they got their total they changed to saying brake services have different ‘special rates’? Nope. Don’t lie to people about what work needs to be done, don’t be sketchy with costs. This place can’t be trusted and we won’t be back.

I brought my well used car in for some general maintenance and the service was excellent. Did some shopping for mid range price for set of four new tires and found them to be cheaper than the nearest competition by almost $200.00 all said and done.
