This review concerns the pharmacy. The rest of the store has been OK. First off, believe the rest of the reviews you read about the pharmacy. It’s awful. We’re switching away from this awful place. It’s badly mismanaged, and RiteAid corporate should critically review the leadership of this branch. In short, avoid this as a pharmacy.

This pharmacy is Bad with a capital B! They never have anything in stock. They refused to take a called in prescription, even though it's required by law in an emergency situation. They also never answer the phone. Go to north coast pharmacy or walgreens instead. Oh also i had an appointment for a covid vaccine and they said they didn't have any boosters in stock yet when i showed up. They told me to come back in 2 days. I show up 2 days later and they still didn't have it. Very unorganized and understaffed. I called 4 times today and waited on hold a long long time and nobody answered my call. I have had a bad experience more than 4 times here. It's closest to my house, but when my refills are done, i'm changing pharmacies.

Very personable staff in the pharmacy … they helped me get the vaccine I preferred , even though it meant more work for them … I was really surprised to see such a low overall rating

Came today to pick up some beer and chips for the beach and Don was so helpful and friendly. He was stocking up the store and everything was so clean and organized ! Definitely recommend coming here Also they have good deals ( the big Hennessy bottle is usually $100 dollars it’s 77 wow 🤩

Rite-Aid was supposed to be open until 11:59 pm. However, when we made it there BEFORE then, the store was locked. Think the managers and higher ups should know that their employees are closing the store BEFORE it's supposed to be... Doesn't seem like it's legitimate. The sign says they're open until a certain time, therefore that's the time that they should be open until!!! Poor service, lazy workers and this should be investigated... Would select 0 stars if possible, because they don't even deserve one star. Too bad negative starts isn't an option, either. How ridiculous and poor sense of customer service! NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN!!! Glad that my reviews gets lots of reads, too...! Spread the word!

Came today for vaccine boosters BY APPOINTMENT. Spouse and I are both in the medical industry. I waited maybe 20 minutes which isn’t bad. His appointment was at 2:20 and there was no one else waiting when he checked in. They didn’t give him his shot for almost an hour. Terrible. Won’t be back.

I was promised a medication refill in 45 minutes and it took 2 hours. The assistant was very rude and hesitant towards taking my prescription. The prescription that i was given seems like its a placebo medication. I would not recomend this pharmacy. Go to scripps across the street instead. Its alot faster.

As I write this, I am on hold for the 2nd time within the last hour. The first time I finally reached a technician who went to see if my Rx was ready. I was on hold for 18 mins before I hung up thinking that he forgot I was on the phone. I called back and was asked to please hold. That was 29 mins ago and I am still holding! I understand an office being busy, but this is ridiculous! I would guess it's a case of being under staffed.

Just to clarify... The bad review is for the stores overall outside appearance. It is a complete and utter eyesore in the beautiful updated Vons shopping center. It needs a makeover like yesterday. Why they didn't update at time of centers renovation is beyond me. Bad property management is my only guess as to why its not properly maintained. People and service are great.
