I just received my child tax credit and this specific branch department/bank location REFUSED to cash my check due to "not having an active Citibank account." I suggest trying Bank of America Bank, Chase Bank, or Wells Fargo Bank to deposit, transfer or cash any government checks

Worst bank I've ever had!!! They closed my account for NO reason. Told me they were sending a letter why they closed it!! 3 weeks later no letter. I have over 15k in that account and have no access to it. And did absolutely nothing wrong for this to happen. Plus they have hung up on me at least 5 plus times.

About a month ago I sent a payment through Zelle of about $1600. Unfortunately the phone number was saved wrong by one digit and the money was received by a random person somewhere in LA. When I called citi bank to reverse it, they said it was too late to do so. The lady I spoke to straight out said the only way to get it back was to talk to the lady that received it to link it back to my account. Isn't that supposed to be their job??? do you think this lady is going to send it back??. At this point I was really upset, the lady then filed the claim and said it would be resolved within 45 calendar days. At this point I'm already stressed out since this money was my rent money, and I had already paid all my bills. Worst of all, I had the manager calling me over and over asking for the money. I decided to call this person that got the money by mistake and never answered, so I called from my partner's number and she finally answered. I Spoke to her for 30 minutes, explaining what happened. This lady then said the money was no longer in her bank account and she didn't have any money to give it back. At this point I've already lost my mind. I kept calling customer service every hour for about two weeks until they finally credited my account while it was under investigation. Three days later that same amount was taken away from my account and I'm back to square one. I called Citi bank again and they pretty much said my money was lost. Please save yourself some trouble and avoid banking with Citi Bank. People here are unprofessional and unethical. I will make sure every family member or friend that banks with this bank closes it and moves to a credit union.

Talk about bad customer service and phone edict! The gentleman (had a strong latin accent) who answered was not helpful at all I was calling to see what documents I needed to bring in to open a business checking and savings, personal checking and savings, a credit card and possibly getting information on the investments. Also told him the urgency because my chase account was dealing with a fraud situation and I wanted to open at least my personal checking and savings to get my money into a secure account. I honestly don’t know if he heard me as he kept inturupting me to talk to other customers, employees and also there was sooo much noise of the people around him asi know he was paying more attention to than he was me because he kept asking me questions that I already had explaind the answer to and even after telling him about the fraud in my accont and the urgency to getting this account open to protect my funds from fraud he responded “why don’t you come in tomorrow it’s better for us?”!!!!! WHHHAAATTTT!!!!! ..... I let him know that he was not taking me or my business seriously and I would go to another bank, his response was “ok no problem” Oooouuuucccchhhh! Ya not the kinda bank branch I wanna call “my bank” What a shame because I had heard such AMAZING thinks of citi banks business accounts and I was looking forward to the long term business I was planning on doing with them not only with business but also personal, credit and investments!

The help is slow the managers are rude and often put personal affairs over the customers while present. They openly tell you your business isn't as important as their social life

I was visiting the LA area Thanksgiving week. I ran out of cash, so I went to this branch to withdraw cash (forgot my pin number). I was helped by Lilanie (spelling may be incorrect,sorry). She was great. I was visiting from out of state so I understood the request for id, social security number etc... She was pleasant , helpful and even a tad funny! Big banks get a lot bad publicity these days but I have to say I haven't had a bad experience with any Citibank employees. Way to go!
