I was a longtime member of blue, before it was even Blue, a member of almost 20 years. I have to say since they got bought out, service has been awful. My whole family banks here but not anymore. There have been multiple instances where customer service has been awful and we had ongoing issues with our accounts. The worst encounter was a teller asking my mom if she needed a translator because she has an accent. I’m beyond disappointed with this credit union which is why we took our business elsewhere. When we closed our accounts the person didn’t even care enough to ask us why or get our feedback. Safe to say we will never bank here again.

Our family just discovered Blue FCU a couple months ago. We had just moved to Broomfield and thought we should get a new financial institute close to our new home. Blue was the closest ,and as it turned out....the best. We actually followed Luis when he got moved over to the Huron branch from the Lafayette branch. The staff is always willing to listen and understand what you want and then convey to you the products that fit your needs. We had a small concern and Eric was able to help us out. A great bunch of folks at the Huron Branch. 5 stars from us.

When I was younger this was the only credit union/ bank that would take me seriously when I had a question about money. The tellers are amazing and the service is very prompt. If I ever have issues at all they always get resolved very quickly.

Been a member since it was Community Financial CU, when it was just a little building in Broomfield. This was over 20 years ago. I've never had issues then or now. I use Blue for my personal and business banking. The staff here at Huron are always friendly and extremely helpful. I always make it a point to come in and say hello, instead of using drive thru. All three of my kids have their own accounts here as well.

I once went to this location to have a new debit printed, as my old one had been compromised. It was meant to be a quick in & out trip, as I had my four kids with me (ages 7 and under). For whatever reason, the 136th locations debit card printer wasn't working, so they asked if I could go to their 119th location to pick up a card since their printer was working. Super inconvenient, but I was told that since I had already signed the e-form at 136th, I could just go through the drive-thru at 119th and pick up the new card. Once I got to the 119th location, they had no idea what I was talking about, required me to leave the drive-thru, park the car and physically bring all four kids into the branch (two of which were sleeping by this point) and start the process over entirely. What was meant to be a 30 min round trip turned into a two-hour debacle. Unfortunately this is just one of multiple debacles I've run into at both of these Blue locations in the recent past.

As of recently, they stopped accepting checks by mail for loan payments. I can pay every other bill I have by check. Attempted to add an external account with their "online banking" but was never able to verify it because they never deposited the small "test" amount in. Forcing me to call in a payment over the phone which charges a 10$ "convenience" fee. After placing a call, I did get refunded the fee but it was still a hassle. I have since paid of the loan and will avoid this bank in the future.

My husband (& I) have 2 loans with Blue. One of those would actually be our 3rd loan with them as we traded our previous camp trailer in for a new 5th wheel. Effectively paying the original loan off, & being approved for the new loan. I use to have to mail my payments to Warren FCU in Cheyenne Wy. before they merged with Blue which was simple. Now I have to drop payments off. The Broomfield Branch has a night deposit box which is very convenient, however the are not very prompt about crediting the payment to the account the next morning as they should be. The Branch on 136th & Huron doesn't even have a night deposit box which is just irritating as it is the closest to me. We do not have an ATM card for Blue because we only have loan accounts with them so I can not even do the payment at there ATM . You cannot call any branch directly as they only have an 800 number listed when you look them up, & good luck with that because the people that answer that number have no clue which branch employees are at & will generally send you to the wrong branch. Also, I am the only one that ever goes in to make a loan payment, I was there when the loans were originated, & even after my husband telling them to note the account with his approval only a few tellers will print the receipt with the payoff amount because so to my credit score we decided not to put both names on the loan, because the interest rate was higher with both. Just very frustrating, but I would still recommend them for anyone with GREAT CREDIT but nothing below that.

So far, after the fourth change in ownership in as many years, we have gone from a really sweet credit union i bragged about to one that now touts itself as serving the customers while serving customers badly, serving up a web connection that promises more delay, disconnect and difficulty in even finding a person to talk to, extra charges, and lots more marketing to make up for having less customer service. Now- we offer lots of ways to be of service for your money, instead of it being a credit union with participation from the members -note- not customers, members, it seems patronizing and unfriendly. I would not recommend this new twist to anyone at this time. Wait and see how well this shakes out in time. But for now- badly. 05/16
