I've been working with C&J Automotive for going on 20 years, and I have nothing but the best to say about them. Always helpful, always competitive and they really go above and beyond to take care of me. They are a great example of what "Customer Service" is all about.

Went to C&J because I thought I would like to do business with them. They didn’t even try to attempt to fix anything small. I told them what was happening and they gave me a list of the exact same thing I was telling them with some extra bs. Told me that my repairs would be expensive and didn’t try with even try to fix the smallest problem to achieve some sort of customer satisfaction. Told me my best bet was a salvage yard. I do have an 87 Cherokee so I understand somethings are difficult, but never impossible. Their customer service is terrible and it seems to me they could have cared less about trying to fix the problems I am having. Surprised they have 4.4 stars. Terrible customer service. If you need stuff fixed, they don’t care. Go to Rushtons, brads or salida auto and diesel. Only go here for alignments. Cheapest alignment in town. Services: Air conditioning, A/C installation & repair, Wheel alignment, Electrical, General repairs & maintenance, Steering & suspension repair, Brakes

My daughter was traveling through several hours from home and broke down going up Monarch pass. I called a business connection in Salida who highly recommended C&J. My daughter was able to limp her car back to their shop and they immediately troubleshot it and pulled codes and test drove it and then gave me a call. Unfortunately it was a major breakdown (transmission) and the car wasn't worth the repair. They refused on multiple occasions to accept any payment other than a thank you for their time! Thanks to C&J Automotive for helping out my daughter and giving her a safe place to wait for help and allowing us to leave her car until we could get it removed.

The lady at the front desk, doesnt know what customer service is. I told her a certain oil. They put in a different oil. I went for an alignment. No print out. Said my upper control arm was bad, just needed to be tightened. Both times I took the truck there, they made me bring it in early. Never called when it was done. Left my truck sitting in the lot all day. I had to call them to ask if it was done. Wanted to get diff breathers installed. The mechanic said he would get the adapters in, and I never received a call about that. They had my phone number written down. Pass this place and head to Mike's garage on F street in downtown. They know customer service and treat you like they care what they're doing.

We have had several of our vehicles serviced here in the past and they have been OK but not the friendliest customer service. The last time I had my oil changed and my tires rotated. I had to take one of my wheels off due to a flat and two of the Lugnuts were over tightened and broke off inside the Lugnut and one of the Lugnuts was stripped completely round. I was lucky I was at home and not stranded on the highway trying to change a flat tire. In my opinion that is just poor service.

Good customer service, but the wrong tires were recommend for my truck, had to reorder & postpone replacement. Asked to have leaking seal? looked at during tire swap, got nothing. What was done was fast & w/in scheduled time frame, & I like my proper tires. Only downside is the need to reschedule an appointment to check leaking oil? on left steer side. Will be going back, hiccups aside.

While traveling through the area I had the misfortune of having a front wheel bearing failure. I was concerned as I had to be back to work the next day, child in school, etc. They pushed stuff around and got my truck in right away and got it fixed in about an hour .Great service, fast, and reasonably priced. Would DEFINITELY give them business if I was in the area. Thanks again!

Great tire shop - had some really worn trailer tires ready to go while on vacation and C&J fixed me up fast for a great price. The other tire places in town either had no correct tires (common size!) in stock or they simply could not provide the service I required. The owner knows his stuff and was able to get us back on the road in about 15 minutes. Very happy with my [purchase here and happily recommend them to others in need of tires in Salida.
