We’ve been using them for about 4 years. I had been really happy but it’s gone downhill. Today we learned after walking in that they suddenly don’t accept cards anymore. Cash only with an ATM in the salon. We had an appointment and no one mentioned they had changed to cash only. Multiple people in front of us were also surprised. It’s an inconvenience and a clear way to just save some money from card fees and make some money from the ATM fees at the expense of their customers. Our appointment was taken 15 min late, and the haircuts are mediocre for the price. I’ll be taking my boys to the barber shop for the same price and a better cut from now on.

There are still strands of hair coming over his ears. It’s just unbelievable. But, I think definitely what makes me write this review, the OWNER had the audacity to MOM SHAME me for being irate and having a few choice words, not even directed at any one individual. A business who can so easily mom shame is definitely not a business I or my friends or family will ever support. Also, they can’t even issue a normal refund, you have to wait for a paper check. Even if the child is crying or squirming in the chair they are magically able to perform their job. Place was recently nicely renovated and is always inviting and clean. If you look through other responses to negative reviews from the owner, it's clear that they do not take customer's feedback seriously enough to effect change. Do not use this salon. We took our child to another salon and guess what - it went great! The problem is Scissor Kids. Good luck! Would not recommend. Brought my 3 year old here for her first haircut. The receptionist was rude and dismissive both on the phone and in person. The environment inside was unwelcoming and dirty. They have been very rude and not friendly what so ever for being a business dealing with kids. I have given enough chances. The only positive I will say is how fast they can go with little ones but doesn't help when the cut comes out uneven. Update for the owners reply: I was only a few minutes early for the 1:45 appointment and when I asked how long the wait would be, which is reasonable question when I see a packed room and have an 18 month old with me, the response I received was "I don't know what you want me to say, we have 4 people cutting hair." So, yes I walked out after that comment. Instead of making excuses for negative experiences and rude employees, the owner should be taking accountability and trying to correct issues. Any other negative review left on google you will find a very defensive response from the owner. Service: Haircut

Every time I've come here my daughters had her hair trimmed for 8$, this time they charged 24$ no shampoo, no blow dry, just a fraction of split ends off the bottom, for 30$ I'll cut her hair myself. That pricing is absurd for a 5yo with short hair. Also yes. Thank you it does say that on your wall haircuts/shampoo - 24 So is your shampoo separate then? Took my daughter for her first haircut and had a great experience! When I told them it was her first haircut they immediately got the “first haircut certificate” and camera ready:) and they were so good with helping my daughter to feel comfortable. Hope cut her hair and she was wonderful! She noticed my daughter was wearing a unicorn t-shirt and proceeded to get her their unicorn cover/smock for my daughter to wear during the haircut. I enjoyed nice conversation with Hope and she was simultaneously very attentive to my daughter. She offered to do a braid at the end and put some sparkles in her hair which helped to make the overall experience fun for my daughter who now can’t stop asking to go back to get her haircut again!! We will definitely be back and I highly recommend this place for a kids haircut! Service: Haircut

Took my daughter for her first haircut and had a great experience! When I told them it was her first haircut they immediately got the “first haircut certificate” and camera ready:) and they were so good with helping my daughter to feel comfortable. Hope cut her hair and she was wonderful! She noticed my daughter was wearing a unicorn t-shirt and proceeded to get her their unicorn cover/smock for my daughter to wear during the haircut. I enjoyed nice conversation with Hope and she was simultaneously very attentive to my daughter. She offered to do a braid at the end and put some sparkles in her hair which helped to make the overall experience fun for my daughter who now can’t stop asking to go back to get her haircut again!! We will definitely be back and I highly recommend this place for a kids haircut! Service: Haircut
