My friend and I made appointments for us to get acrylics and pedicures and when we arrived they confirmed our acrylic and pedicure appointment. After getting our acrylic sets, they said we never made pedicure appointments and that they couldn’t give us pedicures and to come back another time. I’ve never had such a bad experience before, so wildly unprofessional.

I’ve visited this location and the one in Guilford many times since moving to the area from LA and there are pros and cons. I’ve never made an appointment and they always take me right away regardless of how busy they are. Great parking. They do a great job painting my nails. I’ve tried the most expensive pedicure and realized it wasn’t worth it, the massages are just okay and often don’t feel that good on my legs and feet. The free back massage I usually skip because they are painful and (I think) reluctantly given. And I am someone who usually prefers a deep tissue massage. Overall this place functions as a nail chop shop. I know so many reviews say they are clean but I do find their practices to be unsanitary. I don’t think they sanitize and disinfect the removable jet that goes over the plastic bag so I’m just soaking in dead skin and god knows what else from other people during my pedicure. They also do not use fresh buffing blocks, my girl pulled a dusty one out and just went to town on my nails. Gross. Noticed some other questionable practices. Not sure if I will keep coming here to risk a fungal infection if they don’t up their standards.

Went there today for pedicures…such rude staff…we asked for standard pedis… they did a terrible job on my husband and a rushed and sloppy job on mine. NEVER AGAIN!! Unique Nails, across tge street is so much better! What a waste!! AND there were flies everywhere! Yuck! Service: Pedicures

I don't normally leave negative reviews but I had a really bad experience here. The man who did my nails was extremely rude and weirdly agressive. My left hand is crippled and this man kept slapping it to try to get it to "relax" when it literally does not move that way. His name is Eason if you want to avoid him. He's lucky that I am a nice person and didn't cause a scene because he was really crossing the line. The only positive thing I can say is that the woman who intially took me over and removed my old polish was very nice and polite. I was really bummed when she got up to help someone else who walked in. I think her name was Miko. Due to this experience I wont be coming back here and I would suggest others try one of the many other salons in the area.

My go-to nail salon, they're clean and consistent and they've fixed more than one nail botch job for me when I've been travelling and gone elsewhere. The nails in my photo are more than a week old, and I work as a hairstylist, so my hands definitely take a beating.

Friendly staff, extremely clean shop, and professional service. I typically get the spa pedicure and it always looks beautiful. Lately I've been getting the gel manicures and pedicures which will run you about $30 for mani and about $60 for pedi. They've taken Corona virus very seriously, and have taken several precautions including taking temperatures, hand sanitizing stations, distancing, and putting partitions in between the pedicure chairs. Best place in town!

The salon is lovely and relaxing, and staff is very friendly. However, I got an acrylic full set that took 80 minutes and cost $65, and the final result was less than stellar. Doing acrylics well takes a certain skill set and not every nail technician has those skills. My nails were not the shape that I wanted, even though I showed a photo of what I wanted twice, the lengths of my nails did not match each other on each hand, and the woman actually made cuts into my fingers while filling. I appreciate that she tried, but I just don't think she had the skills necessary.

I wanted to try out a new nail salon and basically looked at the star review but not actual reviews with peoples experiences. I wish I did. This place is SO overpriced and everything is an extra $5 or $10. I just wanted an acrylic fill and walked out thinking how did I just spend $50? This isn't Newport people, it's Old Saybrook calm down with your pricing. I have never seen more tip signs in a salon either. Free message is not really free..they bait you with a grand fishbowl filled with $10's and $5's (probably the owners money). For a place trying to go for class it lacks class. My nails are just the same as the salon I used previously. I gave it 2 stars because it is clean and airy and my technician was cordial and listened to my needs.

I've been going here for so long now; I adore this place. The staff is so friendly, and need I say how gorgeous it is in here?? If I want some fun nail polish style, they do it!! Absolutely love going here whether it's by myself or with friends. All their services are amazing. Don't forget the free massage while your nails dry!
