Hours of operation on line are not accurate. Arrived at 5:40 and was told already closed hours on line state until 6pm. Second time this happened. Have gone for wine in the early evening and it was so so for selection but friendly service. Not so much for arriving 20 minutes before posted closing time.Won't be back.

My first visit as I saw it advertised and I like Mediterranean food. I want to say I was confused with how to order food as no clear sign was there as you came in. I sat down and eventually was waited on by someone who was impatient and didn’t appear to want to help. I did order the soup which was very good but could have been hotter. I also ordered a meat pie which was dry. I ordered a soda that was brought in a can and had to ask for a glass. This will be my first and last visit. First of all do not make assumptions. It was not my husband. And if you can recall I went up and ordered for myself. For your information I am not on any medication another assumption As an owner I would expect a little more efford on your part. I have worked and am trained in hotel management so I know organization when I see it

Cafe Sahara is a very clean and elegant restaurant with delicious food and atmosphere… it also has a wine tasting bar. The owner is Sue and she is the nicest hostess. We ordered 2 falafel platters to start, lamb dinner, 2 chicken dishes for our teens, Greek salad for myself, a bottle of wine and feasted. It was a very filling authentic Mediterranean meal for 4 in a cafe that was warm & charming. It felt as if we had a private room yesterday and all the food was prepared by a private chef. This is great for indoor dining coz it’s spaced out between the tables. There’s hand painted cards & baklava & pistachios in a birds nest desserts here. Dessert was decadent and we finished with 2 espressos and some take home desserts. We will be back & will bring family next visit.

A hot soup and a good sandwich, it was everything I was looking for until I entered this cafe; The soup of the day was a delicious lentil cream and my sandwich turned out to be the typical Lebanese shawarma, simply exquisite

I was hopeful to have a new place for me and my husband to eat having looked only at the star ratings. To my disappointed, and my husbands as well, we were wrong. This was by far the worst product I think I have ever had. I ordered 2 gyro and kebabs. My husband Got the food and notice NO seating. outside, a rickety metal 2 chairs and table. The woman who served me was older and cooking and EXTREMELY RUDE. Moving aside from her horrid attitude, we move to the food. We wanted to try something new so we wanted to try the kebab. I can say that having never had these before, I have no expectation on how it should taste but I can say with all certainty, we will not be ever eating them again. Moving to the gyros. See the picture of the gyro? It looked like no care was taken and the meat was reheated. There was no "fresh" meat in the heater. It wasn't a very good quality product for the extremely high prices. Just because you claim organic, it doesn't mean it needs to be disgusting.

Back again with another review on what I consider a small hidden gem right down the street from my small city of Clearwater in Largo, FL. I took my mother to lunch and chose this cafe because she absolutely loves Mediterranean style food. When we arrived, we weren't greeted as warmly as I thought customers should be greeted, in fact, wasn't much of a greeting at all. We sat ourselves. I am always in a positive state of mind so let's move forward. In fact, let's skip over the negatives and get to the positives!! Chris, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you! You were the perfect match vibrationally and just who I needed to attract. Chris was very knowledgeable about their wine selections and when I asked for a malbec, Chris Immediately went to his wine cellar and chose a South African Malbec. Wow, it was soooo smooth and silky. This is the spot to bring your wife, significant other, baby, boo thing, fiancé.... its quaint and romantic. I went with my mom during the afternoon, and she even mentioned how laid back the bar side was. At the end, Sue, the owner, warmed up just a tad bit and even smiled and laughed. Sue, a smile goes along way with customers and people in general. We all have "issues" in life so I wish your business the best and may it grow 100x fold from now till eternity. The tabalah was excellent with a hint of mint, soup, sandwiches all excellent!! When I visit my mother this summer, I will stop by again! And Chris, I need that same bottle!! Deep regrets. I ordered the vegetarian platter and my son had the gyro. The gyro didn't have very much meat and no sides. Oddly, the gyro came in a plastic basket. My stuffed grape leaves were mushy and gooey. The falafel was bland and reheated. The restaurant owner was friendly. Tabbouleh was good. No one offered coffee or came back forever to get us checked out. Drinks can be purchased from a cooler in the front. The arrogant, pompous, rude, dismissive, and generally horrid man from the wine bar situated in the tiny dining area a few feet from our table ruined the whole dinner. He came by the table to ask how dinner was, but didn't actually care to hear what we had to say and didn't acknowledge my existence. I don't know if he has an issue with women or people in general, but his behavior was unprofessional, and just flatly nasty. He was shockingly rude to my son without cause. The wine guy does not belong anywhere near patrons. He wins the award for the worst treatment at a restaurant in my life. I deeply regret eating there because of him and will never do it again.

Best authentic middle eastern food in Tampa Bay. I come here for lunch twice a week. The soup is home made and a MUST!!!! The humus and grape leaves are also amazing. They have only 4 tables inside and one outside, so sometime you have to wait for a seat. If you're reading this, you must stop by and eat here!!!! Update: Jan 2020. This place continues to improve. They now opened a bigger space for seating and just added a brick oven which I am sure will produce delicious fare. Highly recommend this place.

First time at Cafe Sahara. It’s right by my house and I wanted to try a new place. I love Greek salads!! I ordered two Greek salads with added chicken. The salads looked good but they tasted very basic with warmed up chicken pieces. I ate some of it and my husband ate all of it. Right after we both ate it we both got sick to our stomachs. He got diarrhea and I just had an upset stomach. I won’t be making a second trip!
