Staff is amazing! Great neighborhood pharmacy and quick food. Excellent hours and always clean.

Management and Staff are very rude. After seeing one of the managers, Katie, cuss out a customer in front of my family, we witnessed her threaten another customer while they were standing in line.. This happened within a 10 minute period while waiting for a prescription and shopping around (also had a bad experience there, with them not giving us all of our prescription). Very unprofessional and will be transferring to a Walgreens.

Debbie is a witch of the first water. She leaves at 1pm . Don't go in this location before 1pm if you possibly can otherwise you are bound to have the worst customer experience evaaaaaaar

If I could give them negative stars I could. They’re incredibly slow and your prescriptions could take several hours beyond what they advise, which just wastes your time. Recently, they tried to short me one pill of pain medication as well. Seal on the bottle was popped and there was only 29 tablets (out of 30). I don’t know what the problem is and I’ve complained to corporate but they simply don’t seem to care

For someone to answer the phone here is a miracle. Can't ever get pharmacist on the phone. Once waited over 20 minutes on hold and still didn't pick up. Customer service is a thing of the past!

Absolute worst customer service AND more importantly they don’t care. I just tried for an hour to get to my local store first call 15 min on hold. Tried downloading the app.. but my med is not available to transfer for local pickup (btw it’s dangerous for me to be off it and I’m out) customer service could not get thru to the fruitville store. CVS.com said my call could not go thru at the time. Back to local store for another call for another 25 min on hold. 1.5 min trying to connect I give up. Walgreens is closer anyway. CVS sucks and doesn’t care

If I good leave Zero stars, I would. I had knee surgery today & took my prescription here to fill after I got out of the hospital. CVS refused to take & fill my prescription after I presented my VA Healthcare ID as my insurance card! Is this how CVS treats veterans now...giving them the middle finger🖕🏼? What a disgraceful policy! I'm sure they will not miss one person's business, but I will NEVER do business with CVS Pharmacy again!!!

Transfer from other pharmacy handled very well by pharmacist. But when I have to call for a refill, I have to wait to be helped - which is a LONG wait. The store cashier, a young girl & her dark-haired, pudgy employee - guy friend - both without nametags - NEED TO BE FIRED! Both have AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS (rude, bullies, make threats, liked to embarrass me in front of customers, etc.) & ACTUALLY CLAIM TO BE THE MANAGER WHEN THE STORE MANAGER ISN'T THERE! I really, really miss my "home" pharmacy in North Venice. No other pharmacy can compare to it!

A friend and I- with kids in the same grade, both quarantined from school because of exposure- went into the CVS at 2773 Fruitville RD to buy the rapid results home covid test kits. Before we made the 30min drive we called CVS to check availability and also educated ourselves on the CVS policy posted online regarding purchase quantity limits. The website clearly states that each person can buy two kits. After being directed to the front register to ask for the kits that were being held behind the counter, we notice there is one kit on the shelf. My friend, in front of me in line, asks if that’s all they have in stock. Dakota, the seemingly annoyed employee, advises she has “one more” on another shelf. As we WATCH her open a full box of kits and bring over only 1. Feeling perplexed as I watch her ring the two kits up for my friend, I ask why she’d say she only had one if I just WATCHED her open a whole new box?! Without any explanation she- quite RUDELY- barks “I’m only selling you these.” Even more perplexed at this point, I explain that —> I <— had yet to purchase anything! So how can she tell me she’s not selling me any kits? I further explain to her that the website CLEARLY states that 2 kits can be purchased per person. Dakota, who is also apparently a Sarasota County School Board Member or school administrator for my children’s school, advises me that the school won’t even accept that particular rapid test and gives me the name of some other test that would be accepted 🤣😳 I again told Dakota that she was violating her own store policy, she again quite nastily made it clear that she did not care. I asked her what her name was as she had her name badge covered by her hair- which I would too if I was treating customers like that. I’m appalled. And the General Manager of this particular CVS should be embarrassed. I am for them.

Pharmacy staff & checkout staff were extremely rude and not friendly. FIRST OFF, this pharmacy leaves you on hold for VERY along. Father was in need of insulin needles and pharmacy tech was inconsiderate to him on the phone even though he had a prescription, saying “I can’t just give these (the needles) to any person off the street” — while this is probably policy and very true, he had a prescription. In addition, when we went to pick up my father’s prescription, we were at self-checkout in the front. My father accidentally scanned a coupon left from another purchase and the self-checkout computer locked up and said that a checkout associate would come over and fix it. When the checkout associate, a young and short, dark-haired girl with glasses approached us to fix the machine, she very rudely told my father to move over so she can fix the machine. He explained that he accidentally scanned a receipt and that’s why the machine required assistance and then she came out and said in tone and with an attitude “well it’s not going to work if it’s for someone else.” Overall, a bad experience and would not recommend going there if you’re looking for kind associates and technicians to assist you.
