I can’t recommend Wet Pets enough. Danny is amazing! He always takes the time to guide you through your purchases, offer advice, and is always available to answer questions. I’ve called him from home for advice for a malfunctioning filter and he stepped me through the fix. His fish are healthy and reasonably priced. I’ve been a customer for 4 years and would not even consider risking buying elsewhere.

Knowledgeable and friendly owner with a large stock and very competitive prices. All the fish we've seen there look happy and healthy, and the owner helped us pick out two lovely large pieces of Mopani wood. He went above and beyond by giving us care instructions on how to prepare it to keep the excess tannins from turning our water tea-colored. We will absolutely be back for more aquarium pieces!!

This is the best spot in Sarasota for all of your aquatic needs. Danny, the owner, has extensive knowledge of any and all aquatic species and is truly passionate about his craft. My son watched a YouTube video when he was four years old and Wet Pets was involved in the video. My son said we need to go there. He is now nine and I can say with confidence that Danny is one of the contributing factors to my son's passion and knowledge for aquatics. Thank you for everything, you will see us soon I'm sure! Highly recommended!

Owner was very friendly and allowed my son to rant on about fish that he is obsessed with. They have everything you could possibly need for your fish needs. Location is sneaky since it's sign isn't that noticeable from the street. Overall great place and competitively priced fish!

The vast majority of my fish are bought here... Danny is a good guy and WILL NOT rip you off...!!! His prices are more 'blue collar' than Sarasota's other non-box store... He will order what you want, if & when possible, if he doesn't have it... If you're a fish nerd, check it out...!

I remember when I started in the hobby Danny did not sell me fish and thought me how to cycle my tank and gave me beneficial bacteria. Now I have 7 tanks and all of my other tanks has been cycled using my filter media from my first tank. Also, his fishes are healthy unlike other stores (won’t name them) usually have ich but with his fish never had a problem with any sickness.
