I have rented cars dozen of times, and this by far was the worst experience ever! Upon arrival, an older couple was completing information and I should have known by the conversation that their experience had not been good (which she later confirmed). I expected to basically come in and get the keys (based that I was checked in online and a preferred customer, per the AVIS website this all was to help the process be smoother). This was not the case. After going through the process, I was brought the car I rented ( I had to wait a little because it appeared he had to wash the car). I was about to leave and when I started the car, there was a warning light. I got the attention of the owner, who said it was a low tire warning and that he would "upgrade me at no charge" with the car that was parked in front of the store. We go in the store to make the exchange and discover the car is not available because the lady at the counter was getting that car, BUT she actually did not get the car because it had an expired tag (4/22)!! So it was my turn again, and they were getting another car for me, but as the young man was processing it , it was flagged for a recall. The owner explained that the only car they now had was a Ford Escape BUT the windshield had a crack at the top right. At this point I am an hour in to this situation, and I take the car because we are already late leaving to go out of town. It is my belief that the car had actually been in a car accident, it only had about 7,500 miles, but you could see a stain above the window of the passenger side, there was a wind sound by the drivers side, the driver side seat was not adjustable (you couldn't lean back or forward, it was broken and the rear view mirror holder /console was coming off and we were unable to get back in. In addition, while setting the driving settings we noticed the Oil level was at 20%, so clearly the car needs service. In my opinion, the service could be improved with some organization ( no reason cars should expired tires/registration, oil changes due, the cars should be inspected and ready that morning so that you are prepared for the day), and there is an need for additional staffing (the young man that was very kind, but he had a lot on his shoulders as he was the only one at the counter and the owner didn't appear right away to help with the customers) . Also, longer hours on Saturday and Sunday , along with after hours drop off, and a pick up/drop off service would help the customer.

Worst rental car experience I've ever had!!! Avoid at all costs!! First, the owner showed up 15 minutes late to open the store. I reserved a vehicle in my Mom's name and paid for it for her as I have done dozens of times before in the past. It has never been an issue until I attempted to use this terrible location. This guy told my mom she cant have the rental car that was reserved IN HER NAME, just because I paid for it. Nowhere in the company policy, does it say that is a requirement and has NEVER been an issue in the past. This guy scammed us by forcing her to re-do the reservation and made her pay for it charging her $250 for what was originally a $100 booking. Save your money, your time, and your sanity, go somewhere else. If I could rate it zero stars, I would.

I took the car to their location on Friday evening before their closing time and they were still there but refused to accept the return. I had to go back and return the car on Saturday morning. This is the worst ever experience I had with an Avis rental location. These staff members should be sent for proper training and penalized, else you will loose more and more customers,

I had transmission problems while on my return trip to home and was forced to leave my vehicle with limited options for a rental. I walked in to this Avis location hoping to get an auto to get me home that evening. Patrick the rental agent took amazing care of me as he understood my predicament. He was courteous, professional and extremely friendly. He got me in a rental in no time and I was on my way. If I could give him more stars I surely would.

Chloe, when asked told me her name was "Jasmine" (she knew she was going to be reported) not realizing her name was printed on the contract. I was charged $630 for a car that as per my contract was $128. I understand she can't have all the answers but the ones she gave me and the way she gave me was rude and obnoxious and not professional. Avis yes this location Hell no Laziest person I have come across in recent times, didn't move an inch - not even to check if the car was damaged or gas was full!!

They're an independently operated location for Avis, which means you will not receive same form of quality service and level of integrity that you would usually see at an Avis main branch locations. I came in early in the morning for a reservation that was supposed to be picked up by 12:30pm. They told me that my car was not available at the moment and I should come back right around noon. When I came back later on they told me that there were not any vehicles available for my one way rental reservation that was made a month ago. They refused to honor the reservation despite having multiple avaliable vehicles on site that were being rented out to other customers for round trip reservations. They didn't even bother to give me courtesy call to let me know that there was not a vehicle avaliable for my one way rental reservation. This was on a Sunday afternoon. So, I had to scramble for 5 hours around the city to find a rental. It completely destroyed our plans for an out of town trip. These are simply not honest people. Stay away! I also saw couple of customers being forced to upgrade to higher cost vehicle because the location did not have the lower class lower cost vehicle that they had in the original reservation. If they were not an independently operated branch they would have just brought vehicles from other locations to meet customer reservations just like Enterprise. You should instead take your business to a main Avis branch location because they just do free upgrade if the vehicle in the reservation is not available. But not this location. They pull every scam in the book to make an extra buck!

They're an independently operated location for Avis, which means you will not receive same form of quality service and level of integrity that you would usually see at an Avis main branch locations. I came in early in the morning for a reservation that was supposed to be picked up by 12:30pm. They told me that my car was not available at the moment and I should come back right around noon. When I came back later on they told me that there were not any vehicles available for my one way rental reservation that was made a month ago. They refused to honor the reservation despite having multiple avaliable vehicles on site that were being rented out to other customers for round trip reservations. They didn't even bother to give me courtesy call to let me know that there was not a vehicle avaliable for my one way rental reservation. This was on a Sunday afternoon. So, I had to scramble for 5 hours around the city to find a rental. It completely destroyed our plans for an out of town trip. These are simply not honest people. Stay away! I also saw couple of customers being forced to upgrade to higher cost vehicle because the location did not have the lower class lower cost vehicle that they had in the original reservation. If they were not an independently operated branch they would have just brought vehicles from other locations to meet customer reservations just like Enterprise. You should instead take your business to a main Avis branch location because they just do free upgrade if the vehicle in the reservation is not available. But not this location. They pull every scam in the book to make an extra buck!

I had transmission problems while on my return trip to home and was forced to leave my vehicle with limited options for a rental. I walked in to this Avis location hoping to get an auto to get me home that evening. Patrick the rental agent took amazing care of me as he understood my predicament. He was courteous, professional and extremely friendly. He got me in a rental in no time and I was on my way. If I could give him more stars I surely would.

I am a preferred Avis member and rent Avis all the time for my business trips. had one of my worst experiences. Chloe, when asked told me her name was "Jasmine" (she knew she was going to be reported) not realizing her name was printed on the contract. I was charged $630 for a car that as per my contract was $128. I understand she can't have all the answers but the ones she gave me and the way she gave me was rude and obnoxious and not professional. Avis yes this location Hell no Laziest person I have come across in recent times, didn't move an inch - not even to check if the car was damaged or gas was full!!
