Cermak stores prices are extremely over priced compared to other like markets around them. Thier selections are good but prices are to high. They are more higher then Tony's Market and even Jewels.

Great produce section and a wonderful addition to Logan Square, which is not served well by any major grocery store brand. Only knocking off a point since they don't carry organic meats or air-chilled poultry. Customers who require these better products are forced to shop elsewhere.

Good store a little expensive, more than expected, if the owners Cermak had an acre of land in Florida or California and cultivated the produce, it was a reasonable bargain to buy from this Supermarket, since the owner would add a new addition, to it's chain or the supermarket, that type of idea will increase sales and decrease the taxes of import and export of produce, and customers vs the supermarket would benefit on both ends. But this companies are not into a outside the box investment all their focus is on over spending with no return as only minimum percentage rate that in today's economy is not worth it.

Awesome store with great prices. Produce section is expansive! Many fruits & veggies you won’t find elsewhere. It’s all arranged beautifully. The international section is fantastic, many imported products I haven’t seen elsewhere. I found products and candies/cookies from just about every country- from Eastern Europe to Venezuela. The best prices for meat. It’s worth going out of your way to shop here, for the quality and the savings. You are being ripped off shopping in the more pricey neighborhoods nearby. This is an ideal store for people who cook. But, there are prepared and to-go foods, and they’re all pretty good, too. I wish they would make flan, that’s my only request :) The only flan they sell is in a cup and isn’t good.

I have been shopping here since they opened about 5 years ago already and it is a great store! Aisles always well lit and neatly stocked, floors are clean, and it is generally a well managed place. Only thing I don’t like is that their prices are a little higher than Tonys or Jewel but the higher price is worth it for fresher food and a clean store. (The price of the food is why I took a star off).

Stopped by this Cermak since the one I go to usually was not close to where I was. They have a small parking lot but efficient. Plenty of carts and the store was organized. I got everything I was looking for, plus more things that caught my attention. The checkout was easy and fast. Will come back.

I went to this location yesterday to get some ingredients for a lasagna I made. I bought two tomato sauces. I came back home and from the start, something smelled weird and thought it was the ground beef but no. I proceeded to use one bottle of the tomato sauce and then the second one. When I opened then jar, a strong odor came from it and once I peaked inside, there was a giant mass of something. After that, I noticed something crawling around the top of the jar and they were MAGGOTS. I immediately went downstairs to speak to the manager and from his response, he didn’t even sympathize on what was going on. Horrible. The first thing he asked was where my receipt was. At the end, I was able to get a new tomato sauce from the shelve. It was disgusting. I didn’t even feel like I eating my lasagna anymore.

The place is HUGE and it have a great selection of produce and fruits. The place is clean and they have staff on the floor. I just wish the take out food and the meet were up to standards. I been a butcher for over 10 years and when I saw their meet department, I was disappointed. How can a place that look so clean and almost luxurious have a meet and food department that looks like the corner store's old meet. The meet was dark almost black and dry. The pics dont do justice but it might give you an idea of what I'm talking about. When you leave meat in the fridge for too long it dries and it turns dark and the longer you leave it in there uncovered, the darker and dryer it gets. Hell, the packaged meet looked better than the "fresh" one. The same goes for food out in the open. The take out section was no different. The food been sitting out for a while. The steak meat was actually black for sitting out like that for too long. The pizzas looked old, I'm talking about cold dry cheese on top. Have you left your leftover pizza on the table over night? Well, that how the "fresh" pizza looked like. I couldn't take a pic cause the lady put them on the counter top under the display when she realized I was taking pictures of the food there. But here is the kicker, they are NOT taking precautions or enforcing the mask policy. The take out section only has a glass on top and ANYONE can just reach in and grab food. I saw this guy with no mask or gloves serving himself. The same thing goes for the bakery. You want bread, grab it yourself. With this Corona thing going on, I think this is really irresponsible from the store part. How you gonna have 100s of people touching the same utencils to grab bread? That makes a hot spot and people's germs are spread around. Some one can have the virus, cough on their hand and go grab some bread or food, touch the serving spoon and spread the bug. 1 thing is for sure..., you won't catch me going there again. That place is a hot spot for the bug based on what I've seen.
