I went there over a year ago that Mexican Lady over there doesn't have no manners and when I bought some stamps there and she said nothing andI said Your Welcome and she should be fired and she acts bizarre and looks bizarre and that's bizarro world. That is the last time I dealt with her.

The Hispanic female working the front counter with bleached hair is rude and seems unhappy to help customers. I came in to pick up my hold mail, and she stated that there wasn’t any mail on hold for me at my address. I asked what I can do as I no longer live at the address I had the mail on hold for. Luckily, I have the post masters direct phone number. When I asked for it, she said “you can just call the 800 number on the website.” After that, I read back the phone number to verify and she looked at me and just gave me a dry “uh huh.” For someone being paid by tax dollars and with great government benefits, she is extremely u happy with her job.

I went to the Gurnee location yesterday to ask for a passport application and the lady with a pony tail that speaks Spanish was very rude! Hand on hip. She looked very annoyed. Apparently I interrupted there conversation with the other two female staff members. Very obvious the attitude when I asked for the passport application. She said they don’t have any and those things are supposed to be printed out on my own. I thought ok maybe due to covid. As I’m going home something didn’t sit right and I called the Grayslake location and they said they do have them. I picked 3 applications up and it was day and night with the service. Very pleasant lady in GraysLake. I commented my Experience at the Gurnee location to my husband and he mentioned they do have the applications there he goes daily to pick up mail for work. Today he went in to pick up his daily mail and asked a different lady, not the pony tail Spanish speaking lady. Well they told him they always have applications for passport there and gave him 3. I could not believe that I was denied. Such horrible Customer service I really do not know why this lady is still employed there. You would think since it’s Gurnee they would have better quality people.

The service and particularly one young female with fake eyelashes is incredibly disrespectful, defensive and not helpful. I don't know how she's employed. In addition tax payers are paying for this type of treatment. Get it together USPS. People are not happy with the service at this postal location. Need changes.

The girl with the ELABORATE finger nails and wears 17 earrings has the nastiest attitude I’ve ever had to deal with ! Not only is she not patient she has a horrible smug attitude! I’m not sure why she is working at the front counter ! She acts like she is upset because she has to work !

Waiting in line to drop off a PII sensitive package and this lady (not in unform) just tells me to give it to her, she gives me this "oh I see you don't trust me because I'm black look", I had to tell her I don't know her and she's not wearing a postal service uniform. I'm having super bad vibes about this place now. Should have read the reviews first. Never thought I would feel suspicious of the USPS ever.

Very disappointed with my visit. I went in to get my passport renewed. I drove an hour to do this. When I got there, the man at the counter told me he could not renew my passport because I did not have a birth certificate with me. I explained to him that I didn't need one because I am not a minor and I already had a passport. He refused to listen. I went to another post office to renew my passport and they informed me I did not need a birth certificate. It is concerning that an official working in a post office would not be aware of the requirements needed to renew a passport.

Talked with a customer representative on the phone because they didn’t have an address for me for my package. She was a bit rude and unpleasant. Then when my address was corrected, she told me I could pick it up or they can just deliver it tomorrow. Super annoyed with the service.

My girlfriend got her sensitive tax information ripped opened by some new employee in the back looking through people W-2 forms before sending them out! and they Tried to cover it up with and when we spoke to the manager of the location they said It had to over been an outside source apart from them when it never even got sent out from the gurnee location. They wouldn’t even give us the number to report them for an internal investigation. Her information and our childrens information was compromised Please be aware!

I've lived in Gurnee nearly 16 years, and have used this post office for most shipping needs, as it's usually the cheapest. I like to take my time so I usually use the self-service kiosk, but have also used counter service. I have never had a problem!! I see all these 1-star reviews without many details explaining what would lead to 1-star and also wondered how we have such different experiences at the same place?! (Unrealistic expectations?) Or, I suppose if you go several times a week and only use counter service, then perhaps you just have a higher likelyhood of having a bad experience, or multiple 🤷♀️. I also set the bar pretty low on humanity in general, so I'm rarely disappointed, voice it when I am, which usually works out generously in my favor. Karma, maybe? Send out good energy and other good is attracted to it. The opposite also exists. On the occasions I've used counter service, I've experienced rude customers, one or two cranky employees (we're all human and have bad days!), but I couldn't tell you much more past that. I choose to not focus on those less-then-perfect experiences and instead on ALL the other times I was smoothly in and out without incident. Those times are easier to forget, yet the majority of our experiences, but when we go searching for negative, you will find it.
