Whomever the employee is that wears a filthy bandana on her greasy head needs a little training on what customer service is. She is extremely rude and acts like customers are an inconvenience to her. I asked for menthol enjoy pods and she asked me what kind. I said menthol. She put her hands on her hips and stood there looking at the ceiling with an irritated look on her face. Went and got gas from this poor excuse for a business and the person behind the cash register literally stole $20 when I gave her $25 for gas in cash as it's cheaper than card. Put the gas in and it stopped at $10. Went back in and Kenzie Williams told me that I gave her two $5's I argued with her and told her she was wrong and she just argued back and told me that I was wrong. I know what I have and what I gave her. DO NOT go to this place for anything!!! They are thieves!!!!

I arrived at Circle K in Mattoon, IL @8:30PM and went to buy beer, the employee behind the counter said that there was no alcohol sales as he was underage, another employee was outside smoking and I could see that she was at least 21. I asked her if she could “ring up “ my beer. She states that she is off the clock and can’t do it but tells me other places that will sell me beer. I told her that I was on foot (I walk for my health as I am a disabled veteran and have been trapped in the house with all the icy weather), she seemed to not have any care in the world other than her cigarette!!! She told me that Circle K doesn’t hire enough people... maybe you should hire a veteran!?!?! We’re loyal, of age, and have respect for people...... and....don’t send customers somewhere else to spend their money!! Doesn’t make good business sense to me. I’ll be sure to let all my Veteran buddies know what happens here though, don’t worry,....it’s my duty.

Everyone I know and can tell in this 18,000 population town will know this story! I went to Circle K on a late Friday night 10:45 17 Jan 2019 inside used my debit card. The very next day my account was frozen and debit card denied everywhere and my $4000.o00 states ZERO balance. A 3 day weekend bank closed. Clerk at County Market grocery store said at least 20 people had the same. Asked me if I had been to Circle K with my debit! A card skimmer at circle K had been installed and found. That was Saturday night. I'm screwed with no money for at least 3 days. Went back to CK to complain. Card reader still able to open no change at all. Idiot clerk just shrugged and stated total ignorance to everything. Internet states 90% of card skimmers come from Circle K. LAX Security. Obviously don't care about their customers. Will NEVER go there again! Screw you too. Look for my lawsuit. Update: 24 Jan. Seems they tried to charge over 2000 dollars on to my debit. Thank you much Mattoon circle K for not caring any for your customers. Luckily the Bank did. I hope your outlet closes very soon.

My reason for one star I don't want to reflect on the whole store or all the employees. I actually thing most of the employees are pretty awesome and it's a pretty kept up with store. But my one star is because I sent my 12 year old daughter there to get herself a gatorade and me a red bull and she came back to tell me that the woman working said that she had to be 18 to buy an energy drink. I called and asked for the manager and the person that came on the phone told me that she has the right to refuse service to anyone. Well hers my problems with that. One, she didn't refuse service she hand selected what she felt the person should be able to buy. Two, she lied and said that u had to be 18 to buy an energy drink. And Three, an employee having the tight to refuse service to anyone is not so they can personally determine what they feel is healthy for someone. That is for stuff like people being rude or trying to just cutt ahead of everyone else, or someone who is already drunk they can stand trying to buy liquor. As far as trying to pick what u feel someone should be able to buy and what is healthy for them, if u don't feel that it's right to sell energy drinks to someone that has every LEGAL right to buy one then u shouldn't work at a gas station that sells redbulls to minors. And as far as the management goes. I feel that they should care to protect there customers rights from there employees that think they can make the law whatever they want.
