I highly recommend Metro Express and Moving Day Ready--you'll find no better team! They helped me from the very beginning, clearing out our basement, garage, and crawl spaces, hauling away heavy unwanted furniture and seemingly endless junk! Then, when it came to packing and moving us out of our house into a condo, they handled that with the same unrivaled care and efficiency. As I told Marion and his team many times, I couldn't have done it without them! Just knowing they were there to handle things kept me sane!

Service was wonderful. 3 moving men moved an 8 room house. They were efficient, and wrapped and packed items I couldn't such as a small chandelier and 3ft. resin figurine.

From my first contact with Marion Matas, communication with Moving Day Ready was prompt, and courteous with timely updates as to ETA. The team who came to my home were amazing! Once the details of the job were clarified, the staff worked exceedingly well together getting the job done. The whole process of the day was choreographed with expertise as the staff moved furniture and boxes wherever they needed to be. I’m so grateful for the way MDR made a stressful situation a pleasant experience.

We contacted Metro Junk Removal to help us as we got ready to move from our 3- story home of nearly 42 years to a new condo. They provided outstanding service and support every step of the way. As we began clearing the house, they removed a pool table from the basement and an upright piano from the living room along with the usual large furniture items for donation or disposal. Further into the process, MJR emptied our attic, basement and garage of items we no longer wanted and later took designated items to our remote storage unit. On another day, a crew came to tear up and cart away old carpeting. We used Moving Day Ready part of the business to pack up our fragile items. The owner, Marion, responds in a timely manner to requests. His prices are fair. All of the men and women who work for MJR/MDR are true professionals: punctual, friendly, thorough and calm. This crew cleans up EVERYTHING before they leave! What impressed me the most is how they understood how stressful this situation was and to a person, even as they efficiently worked away, were so supportive and reassuring that this could, indeed, be done. Having such a pleasant and focused group working to help us achieve our goal was a HUGE stress reliever. So thanks to Marion, Frankie, Buck, Lynn, Elijah, Tim and others for all you did for this epic move! We look forward to working with them in the future and wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone needing these services.

Moving Day Ready surpassed my expectations and was the perfect choice. I felt overwhelmed by the process of sorting my things and packing them. Lynn came over a week before the move and in just over three hours everything was sorted and packed. Then one week later, she, Bucky and Dean moved my things, took some boxes to storage and others to a donation site, and discarded what could not be donated in a responsible manner. The actual cost of moving was less than the estimate. Marion and his staff were pleasant to work with at all times. I highly recommend Moving Day Ready! The Moving Day Ready crew was absolutely great! They helped with packing up my uncle and making sure he was prepared to move. The group of adults were very professional and caring with my uncle. They showed compassion and understanding with our situation. He has dementia and was not looking forward to moving. The Moving Day Ready crew made him laugh, he felt very comfortable with them, and told some 'back in my day" stories to them. I would highly recommend using them for any of your moving needs.

I had such a pleasant experience with Moving Day Ready. Marion was very helpful and patient with my crazy schedule and accommodated everything I needed. I have never had my things packed so carefully. I think I could've dropped all the boxes from a tall building and nothing would've broken. They are clearly very knowledgeable and good at what they do. I will definitely be using their services again next time I move.
