Do not use WalMart pharmacy on 151 and 31 in Carmel. They can not figure out what to due to get your meds, if with FDA paperwork in front of them. I take a medication that is not used for a lot of conditions. Because of COVID-19 it is on a national back log. When I called to get it filled they said they would have it on Monday. They never called to say it was ready. So when I called them they said they could not get it until March. I told them the FDA had given clearance to use something else. I was told I would have to let them know what it was. So I found the name of it and called them. They said we can’t get that it’s not approved. I told them several times that it had been cleared for use temporarily by the FDA. I figured after all the education they had and dealing day in and day out with FDA medication, they would know how to get this info. However they just keep saying we can’t get that. So I went on line and found the info in less then 5min. I printed out the info and form that they needed to fill out and send in. I took it to them they looked at it and said we will have to talk to a district pharmacy manager because it was not an FDA approved medication, even though they had paperwork saying it had been given special clearance to be used. The problem was they could not just click order so it short circuited their brains. I asked for the papers back and that they send my script to Walgreens in Westfield. I went to Westfield gave them the paperwork and in less then 10min they advised they would get it taken care of. Update then the morons at Walmart sent it to CVS not Walgreens, I know they sound a-lot alike

I’d like to name one person in particular, Courtney, who seems to not understand that her role is to assist customers in filling their prescription and running their insurance. Had to ask her 3 times to check the insurance documentation I provided to prove that it was valid. She continued to tell me that I had a co-pay in the hundreds of dollars. I know our policy, we have no copay on prescription drug coverage. Eventually she realized she was wrong after pressing her for 10 minutes; no apology, no courtesy, just continued rudeness. The only person with any sense of pride in their job working here is the pharmacist. They have consistently provided incorrect information to me regarding my insurance benefits causing me to overpay and have to claim back. It should not be this much of a hassle to get your prescription filled. Don’t expect to have it filled in a timely manner either; the associates spend too much time chatting and giggling to worry about providing you the service you’re going to be overpaying for.

I feel that they fill my prescriptions in a very timely manner and I like that they send me an email and a text when they are ready. Remember, you can not please all of the people all of the time period

Pharmacist was extremely friendly and helped me with an insurance issue I was having. Although I have had some wait times for refills which can happen anywhere (also I did wait until the last minute to call for the fill) I would say this pharmacy does a great job!
